Congratulations to all those nominated! The slate was very stiff this year and we're sure it was a tough call for all voters. We will be contacting all winners and you can help speed up this process by dropping a FReepmail to "Bob J" and giving him your contact information! Please let us know if you will be at the FR Ball!
A special thanks once again to the Awards Committee who worked through the holidays to ensure the awards would be ready for Jim's "Free Republic Inaugural Ball" in DC on the 20th!

Congrats to all! I only wish I could have voted, maybe next year that bug will be fixed to allow Hotmail users to vote.
I would be interested to hear just how many total votes were counted.
Congratulations to award recipients, nominated candidates and the committee!
I can't believe I actually won an award. Jeepers, gobucks, I'm so humbled by this.
Thank you oh so very much for voting for me, Happy2BMe! Truly, I don't feel like I deserve it - but I'm so grateful and humbled to be remembered.
Thank you so very much for kind words, not-a-neocon! I certainly agree with you about betty boop!
Thank you so very much, Hero! (blushing here...)
It has been nearly seven years for me on the forum. My life has been greatly enriched by all the Freepers and I count many of you as friends and family. This award was a totally unexpected honor - I'm so humbled that my words are a pitiful mess.
You're a very special lady.
No one could be more deserving of praise!
Thanks for all you do...
Way to go, all of you!
And a big thank you to all the unsung FR heroes as well...
Thank you oh so very much for your kind words, EternalVigilance! But truly I do not deserve praise - I'm just a helper here, always have been, always will be.
I think you deserve an honorable mention for the fine work you did as the RatherGate story unfolded.
I am sorry you didn't get to vote. I have a hotmail account, too, and didn't receive a ballot either. So I posted my dilemma and was sent a link via my FreeRepublic mailbox. I voted and was one happy camper after that.
'Helper' is one of the most praiseworthy titles anyone could aspire to.
You're always a great example for all of us.
You deserved it Lady.
I'm sorry I did not vote, but had mentioned you and betty boop as the perfect duo to win the Lifetime Award.
You two are two magnificent Ladies and an institution here on FR.
God bless to both of you.
The Committee will not release any information regarding voting. The entire process was supervised by all and certified to each of our's satisfaction. If that is not good enough, there is nothing more we can do for you.
Hey, as long as there weren't more votes than voters! ;-)
Good work, Bob.
Absolutely! These are hard-working American patriots -- wonderful role models. If more people were like them, our country wouldn't be having some of the problems it is.
Good choices, every one. Congratulations to the winners, all the nominees, and the committee. Well done!
Please do.
