So far, so good. We are soggy, but not flooded here. I guess further south of us, in the LA basin, it's a real mess. But it happens almost every year. People build their houses on hillsides and they slide down the hills when it rains. I guess it's worth the gamble for them to have that gorgeous view of the ocean. :-)
I think that one will work well for a pledge graphic too.
Neal Boortz described something shared by a friend of his who works at the airfield in Atlanta that is the hub of the universe for flights.
Neal said he has passed this to Fox News Channel, suggesting they cover it, since most of the media ignores it, and cannot be unaware of the daily occurrences!
Seems that in the humongous terminal complexes, whenever there are groups of uniformed men and women in sight, there is an utterly spontaneous reaction among the travelers, standing and loudly applauding and cheering!!
I personally have waited for this to be accorded all military returnees after 36 years since the vilification shown my husband in 1968 in San Francisco -- he fought in the jungles and in thick of things for a very long year, only to be treated as a criminal by the civilians all the way across the continent; and afterward.
Thank you, Revived America!!
We will not rest until all the wrongs are righted....
What a nice photo. Good to see thing like that when we are bombarded with reports about how America is hated around the world.
I'm happy for you and Bernie that you all lived long enough to see this day. Hugs Lady!
The best part about that picture is that it was taken right outside of a huge mosque. :)
:-)
Same goes for anything American, church or school-connected, pep rallies - Fourth of July Celebration, special Veterans Day Ceremonies and lunch for all veterans at the high school - CHRISTMAS Parade with all the works and lighting of the tree in the center Circle by the courthouse, etc.
There even is a Veterans Park on the airport property (2 miles out) beside the highway leading out of town to Augusta/Aiken/northwest....there is a tank there, and elevated on a high support, a military helicopter.
They've added a running track around it, and more things planned for the future.
It sounds alot like my small town except we don't have a tank or a Military helicopter.
AMEN!!
Yes we do!
LOL. Don't shoot!
You sure? If not....you're a goner. lol
I ducked. :)
See ya tomorrow. :)
Hold the fort down Lady.
See you tomorrow Aqua!
