Farrakhan: Democracy is 'Rule of the Devil'
NewsMax ^ | Januaray 9, 2005 | Carl Limbacher

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan has told his followers that President Bush's efforts to bring democracy to the Middle East represent "the rule of the devil."

"What is going on in the world is a battle between 'theocracy' and 'democracy,'" Farrakhan said, in a transcript of a December speech in Newark, NJ posted last week to the NOI web site.

"The enemy is plotting, through democracy, to make the whole world submit to so-called democratic values," he claimed, "so that the demons of the West can rule all the darker peoples of the world under 'demo cracy.'”

"'Democracy' is 'the rule of the people,'" the NOI leader explained. "But what kind of people? It’s the very opposite of theocracy. It’s the rule of a devil."

Farrakhan said ill-conceived attempts to foist democracy on Middle Eastern peoples explain why the insurgency in Iraq has proved so resilient.

"That’s why when you see Muslims in Iraq fire a rocket and it destroys an American tank, they cry out, 'Allah-u-Akbar! God is great!'" he told the Newark crowd.

"I do not mind accepting the rulership of intelligent White people if they’re intelligent enough to rule," Farrakhan said. "But this madness that’s going on in Washington, I cannot let that rule me. I cannot let that determine the future of a people who are hungering to breathe free."

Farrakhan's a Platonist. Who'd have thought?

He has been banned from entering the United Kingdom since 1986

Odd that they would ban him and let all the other riff raff in.

I heard Farrakhan in a speech once and he said a white man he admired was John Brown. I felt really odd about that because I am a descendent of John Brown.

"He still lives here in the USA..."

A pity, too. Deporting him to an Islamic paradise would be a nice gesture on bahlf of national unity - don'cha think?

Just when I thought Farrakhan couldn't come out with anything more idiotic..he surprises me.

I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I read this article.
Just when Dems are trying to convince blacks the worst evil is that their vote wasn't counted, Farrakhan comes out with this nonsense that being able to vote for your leaders is "evil". This man has the IQ of an eraser.

Calypso Louie needs his shot a being a movie star. Dress him in an orange jump suit, bind his hands and sit him in front of the camera. Next, a group of Islamic militants yelling "Allahu akbar" enters the stage behind Louie. Islam at its finest.

Lucky break for Calypso Louie, then, that he doesn't live in a democracy, but a representative republic.

No one is stopping Farrakhan from living under Sharia Law. All he has to do is move

Only problem he'll encounter is that his version of Islam is considered apostasy in any place that actually has Sharia.

Well, stupido farrakhan, you are dummer than once thought. Your People are Free, I guess that you didn't know, your people are free, YOU are holding them back from their rightful place.

Yeah odd but I don't think they the same problems in 1986. He may admire John Brown but I'm sure he idolizes Nat Turner (who went psychotic IMHO but I have no proof).

I really do wonder if this guy is for real. He cant be serious when he spews some of his nonsense. He really doesn't see the irony of living in the worlds oldest and most famous democratic republic, and spouting off about how democracy is rule by satan? Its like watching the Jerry Springer show. After a while you say you yourself
"This is fake. Nobody the same species as me could possibly be that stupid!"

To hear the left tell it, the orange jumpsuit that Nick Berg was all part of the "conspiracy" that had him detained before he was kidnapped.

When the other hostages are also wearing orange jumpsuits, the left conveniently forgets their original flavor of tinfoil.

"democracy is rule by satan" because to Louis, Sharia Law is Mohammed's version of "rule by God".

Unfortunately, I see Mohammed as AN antiChrist if not THE antiChrist as he has hijacked the Judeo-Christian Bible, rejected the divinity of Jesus, His death, and ressurection. Mad Man Mo' led the flock astray with a false religion (under the guise of truth).

No other religion treats Jesus as a notable figure yet casts Him as just a man.

Per Farrakhan, Muslims don't deserve or can't be trusted with democracy.

CS Lewis actually wrote about that in Mere Christianity. He wrote about how it was obvious that Jesus was the son of God and that no middle ground possible. You either believe his message or you don't. He said:
"You can shut him up as a fool you can spit on Him and curse Him as a demon or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about his being a great moral teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

Islam's problem is that tries to take the middle ground, when it must choose one or the other.
