SMALL GROUP OF HOUSE DEMOCRATS TO CONTEST FORMAL ELECTORAL VOTE COUNT
San Francisco Gate ^ | 1/4/05

(01-04) 16:04 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --

A handful of House Democrats plan a long-shot effort to snarl President Bush's formal re-election by preventing Congress from counting Ohio's pivotal votes when lawmakers tally the electoral vote on Thursday.

No one expects the action to undo Bush's victory. Instead, it seems likely to do little more than call attention to Election Day voting irregularities, a growing frustration for Democrats who blamed similar problems in Florida for Bush's 2000 defeat of Democrat Al Gore.

I cannot think of a rational reason why Barbie would make such a fool of herself, and risk her committee assignments and office staff (the GOP does have the option to cut seats and staffing) and of fellow Democrats by making such a politically insane move.

I mean, really, you'd think even Frist will let this slide by without a response?

I think she's going to sit on her hands.

Go for it, Moonbats!

Let's start a Freepr fund for "Moonbats 2008"! We need to keep them Verrry busy till 2008 with recounts. We need to support their efforts in continuing "recounts interminable".

They plan a big (or what they consider big) protest with Jessie Jackson in Washington on Jan 6th.

She needs some white liberals in the House to join in, before her hormones will really be stimulated.

Under the Joint Session Rules, an objection to the Electoral College vote from any state goes NOWHERE unless a Senator signs up. So if Boxer is willing to embarrass herself by joining in, the Ohio challenge will go into the House and Senate separately, and be slapped down in both places.

If the House fools (excuse me, lib-Dems) cannot sign up a Senator, they will be as publicly foolish and useless as the House Black Caucus members in 2000, who were gaveled down as out of order by the Presiding Officer, Vice President Al Gore.

The Presiding Officer this time will be Vice President Cheney, who will be quicker with the gavel than Gore was, you betcha. Ya.

it seems likely to do little more than call attention to Election Day voting irregularities All it's going to do is to show the American people what sore losers Democrats are.

Why wouldn't the President's judicial nominee's get a fair shake?

Because they were Conservatives. The left even said as much. There should be no Conservative judges. There should be no Conservative Representatives. There should be no Conservative Senators. There should be no Conservative Presidents.

Only Liberals should rule in this government in their freaky world. They HATE the American system for just this reason.

That way lies a dictatorship just like Nazi Germany.

Yes, someone should say to them, with the comedian who does the riff on incredibly stupid people, "Here's YOUR SIGN." LOL.

According to what Frist said today he will be going to the disaster area Thursday. I don't understand why, but that's what he said when talking about the relief effort.

I will never understand what the hell the "Black Caucus" is. Is there a "white caucus"?

Once, when I had a conversation with a "rainbow coalition" liberal person, I asked him if I could start a:

Conservative-Vast-Right-Wing-Anglo-Saxon-Protestant-Capitalistic-Business Entrepreunial-Left Handed-Born on February 31st Caucus.

The moron was totally lost.

Too many dolts, too little time.

Conyers could get that pair of mouth breathing morons from Palm Beach, and maybe even McDermott, to sign on.

If she got so stimulated, I'd expect major changes in the Senate staffing. This may also end any internal GOP opposition to rules changes regarding filibusters.

This is a useless act that clearly works against the Democrats. Wise heads need to prevail.

Who is Majority Whip in the Senate?

If I remember correctly, if that dingaling attempts a challenge, she picked the wrong person to mess with.

American Blacks sink lower politically with each day that passes. As for the Congressional Black Caucus, they have never been so ineffective and meaningless as they are right now. Blacks better begin to diversify their voting patterns as Hispanics and Asians have done or they will forever remain at the bottom of the political, economic and opportunity totem pole. Support of the Democrat Party has just about wiped out their political force and kept them in the chains of economic slavery.

I second that question!!

I turned on TV this morning to C-span 2 to see when the Senate was supposed to start and they were having the "Congressional Black Caucus" swearing in ceremony!

I thought what the heck, why do they need their own swearing in ceremony? What are they swearing to? If it is different than the rest of the congress, then I want to know what they swore to---if it is the same, then why do they feel that they have to segregate themselves and have their own little ceremony?

BTW, Nancy Pelosi was in front row, just looking like the freak that she is---

There was a hugh audience and all of the reps and one little ole senator (Obama) on stage...

The new President?,King?, Prime Minister?, Grand Poobah?, whatever of the caucus gave a long ass speech about how he hopes this is the last swearing in ceremony where a black congressperson is sworn in that, like him, grew up in a house with holes in the roof and floor, no electricity, running water and an outhouse out back. snif, snif

Someone should hand them signs when they go to the protest or whatever they are planning that says--WE'RE NUMBER 2, WE'RE NUMBER 2!!!!

Or as daddy used to tell me,
Number 2 = the First Loser!

Do Democrats of ANY stripe want to open up this line of discussion? Sure, there is fraud that goes on in elections in a lot of corners of America. But any honest evaluation of the problem always comes around to one conclusion - that the vast preponderance of election fraud occurs in precincts that are ALREADY Democrat. In districts that would, in an honest tally, come up maybe 55% Democrat, there are lopsided margins of 75%, 80%, even 90+%. The outcome within these districts would not be particularly altered. But the overall vote totals for any given state as a whole may prove to be decisively AGAINST the Democrats, as in Washington State governor's race. King County/Seattle manufactured just enough votes to win, in the otherwise Democrat wards, because, after all, just about everybody there voted Democrat, who is going to catch a few more slipped in?

The outcome there was tainted, in so many ways.

No Senator will get involved with this Black caucus ploy. They are running away from it as fast as they can. They have to run statewide and none have seats that are so safe that they can make the public mad with a stupid act like this.
