Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill had rooftop snipers stand guard as they were escorted out the door. Scary guy to have in charge IMHO.

The fired employees included four of the highest-ranking officers, all of them white. Hill told the newspaper their replacements would be black. This is so illegal, that all of these officers are about to get RICH.

He cited the assassination of Sheriff Derwin Brown in neighboring DeKalb County in 2000. Brown was gunned down in the driveway of his home three days before he was to be sworn in. Former sheriff Sidney Dorsey was found guilty of plotting to kill him and sentenced to life in prison. The Brown/Dorsey disaster involved two blacks. For this character Hill to cite that is the most disingenuous thing I have heard in quite some time. I say it's high time for the Governor of Georgia to arrest Hill for the corrupt abuse of his office.

I would not be too quick to condemn what the new sheriff has done. Certainly he has the right to pick his management team, and at least demote those he doesn't want around to undermine his authority. Lower level employees may be protected by civil service rules/laws/regulations. It may also be that the new sheriff knows of criminal conduct by those who were fired. If he fired them just because they were white, he has a major problem.
All in all, there isn't enough information to draw a reasonable conclusion.
