Oh, I hope you are wrong, but I fear you may be right.

Like a previous poster said, I won't vote for him in the primaries, but IF he's the candidate, I'd hold my nose and vote for him.

Grant Wood was a pathetic backboneless public servant. Arizona is lucky to be quit of him. That he would support McCain, whose values are as empty as a Nogales pinata, is no surprise.

Just more proof that the MSM's pick is McCain.
Remember, they supported John Kerry, another traitor.

McCain is for McCain, period.
He is NOT a conservative.
He does NOT understand macroeconomics.
He does NOT understand foreign policy, in the best interests of the United States.
He does NOT understand the importance of;
Tort Reform,
Tax Reform,
Social Security Reform.
Other than that, I do respect his service in Vietnam and his time as a POW.
The balance does NOT qualify him for POTUS.

"...something tells me McCain WILL be the GOP candidate in 2008."

Sorry, but there's no evidence for that. He got his a$$ handed to him by Bush in 2000, and I certainly don't consider Bush the best candidate possible.

Nope, McCain won't be nominated for the same reason Lieberman wasn't nominated for the Democrats last time - no appeal for the party's base, who to a great extent determine the party's nominee.

Do you really want the answer to that?

Hillary is a socialist. McCain is an opportunist. I'll vote neither but if those are the only options, I'd prefer Hill win. She'd do less damage to the Republican party than McCain would as it's leader.

McCain has the right stuff all right and plenty of it. But the problem is it's only useful if you want to fertilize a garden.

If McCain runs as our anybody but Hillary candidate, we will suffer the same fate as Kerry. McCain can also "gum" things up if he runs as an Independent.

McCain's ego wants him to run but his health will preclude him.3 years is a long way away.

She's gonna run as a conservative. In office she might end up being about as conservative as McCain would anyway.

Well, obviously there's no evidence of what's going to be in the future. I'm making a prediction based on my gut feeling. I think that the party RINO's, and there's a solid chunk of them, will coalesce around McCain, especially the over 50 crowd.

And how would he achieve that? Via Democratic Party nomination?
