What's wrong with him?
Has he ever been right?
Rarely.

McLaughlin has seemed to be a little more crusty in his old age...Any who lets both Buchanan and Clift on his show has a bi-polar disorder IMHO.

As
The McLaughlin Group gets increasingly irrelevant, its denizens get increasingly controversial.
McLaughlin's program show has become the political-shout-show equivalent of The Jerry Springer Show.

Bitter John hates all Bushes. I would love to see the panel's year end predictions for the last five years and how much of it turned out to be right, especially "know it all" Eleanor.

John has been getting barmier at an exponential rate.

He loathes Bush more than he cares about principles. He really really hates the guy.

Who cares this guy is just an old blowhard. I wouldn't waste time watching his show.

I don't know if anyone knew this, but McLaughlin fired Robert Novak off his show in 1989 because he thought Novak was hogging air time. Novak got even with McLaughlin when he wrote a column about McLaughlin having an affair with a lady who worked as a Production Assistant at his production company (Oliver Productions). This forced McLaughlin to divorce his wife (who at the time was Undersectary of Labor in the George H.W. Bush Administration) and marry the young Production Assistant.
Luckilly, when I got Cable in the Fall of 1998, I quit watching this GAGFEST and watched a show with real political arguments..."Hannity & Colmes!"

I watched him a month ago and thought he was drunk on the air. He mispronounces common words, is illogical, and hardly gets his guests' names right. Tony and Eleanor were carrying him and covering for him, which was pathetic. He has definitely lost his edge, maybe even his mind.

OMG! You have got to be kidding me? He actually said this? I have noticed every week He goes further and further off the deep end. They need to cancel that show, not that anyone watches it anyone but still...
