No, the teacher is not at fault. George W. Bush is!!!
Some teacher huh?
I used to teach and I can assure you I knew what was going on in the classroom at all times. This is simply not credible.
When I was in school my teachers could hear you chewing gum with your mouth closed and this broad couldn't hear a fight going on?
The teacher should be charged as a co-conspirator.
Had the kid who got beaten shouted out "For God's sake knock it off!" he would have been expelled for "forcing his religion on the other students" and I bet the teacher woulda heard THAT.
The victim was quoted as saying "Oh, God, NO! Oh, God STOP!" so the teacher didn't want to get involved in their religious interaction fearing a chrch/state separation lawsuit I suppose.
Public school bump!
it's Bush's fault-even if the teacher watched it happen.
We here in MN had our own little kid getting beat down
video- there was no school official "outrage" until
the parents raised hell and then only because the parents
were on the TV news with video proof.
Mpls. schools superintendent "appalled" by bullying in report
http://www.kstp.com/article/stories/S4023.html?cat=1
from the article:
Peebles responded, "I feel strongly about it and I'll take action."
Well, that superintendent is still employed...
These are no longer classrooms. They are battlegrounds. The teacher could have gone to the principal. Besides...what is a kid doing in class with a video camera anyway? Who's in charge? The kids or the adults? Then we express total shock when we see the kids here are behind everyone else. We just push them through from grade to grade until they "graduate" and then what? They are out in the world with no knowledge whatsoever. Not so funny then.
What I want to know is how a teacher can not know that a fight in the classroom is occuring?
For argument sake , lets say the teacher saw this after it started, went back to the fight grabbed the kid throwing the punches, the kid then punches the teacher and the teacher then knocked the living sheet out of the punk,
You know like when we were in school.back in the 50's.
1. the teacher would have been fired. 2. the kid doing the beating would have gotten off Scott free.
3. the teacher would have to hire a lawyer for the law suit. 4. The teacher forever after would be branded as a child abuser.
This is Cleveland, so it really doesn't count as Ohio.
Hey, I had a kid once choke me in class near the front of the room. I quickly stood up and punched him 3 or 4 times before anyone could stop me. He ended up on the floor and suspended, I ended up finishing the class and moving on. Point is the teacher couldn't have done anything to stop it unless he was right by me. BTW the kids had some mental issues.
Yea, Im an old fart, but I cant imagine a student allowed to bring a camcorder into a classroom unless its a Visual Arts Class. I also cant imagine a teacher with so little control of the class.
I guess thats why I didnt become a teacher.
That's what happens when you drive SUV's.
Don't let anybody kid you. Math is brutal.
