The teacher was probably deep into a conversation about the proper use of condoms. Or didn't want to hurt the attackers' self-esteem. Or didn't want to physically touch the one throwing the punches for fear of a reprimand.

Had the kid who got beaten shouted out "For God's sake knock it off!" he would have been expelled for "forcing his religion on the other students" and I bet the teacher woulda heard THAT.
