We are hurting here.

I live in Singapore and we felt the tremor..I am originally from Los Angeles, as is my mom who was visiting.

I got on the computer and well...

We have friends, good friends with children, vacationing in Phuket....we have not heard from them.

We are devasted in Singapore and we know that we will never be the same.

Pray for us.

Pray for us.

Pray for the dying, the living, and the dead.

Pray for the dying, the living, and the dead.

Our prayers have been lifted daily. It is overwhelming to see the tragedy of all these ruined lives. It's too late to pray for the dead. Money is nothing, when you see how quickly life can end... but now, many of the survivors have little family left, as well.

God will comfort, and God will provide, through His....

Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt sympathies for you, your friends, and all who are affected by this tragedy. It is truly a catastrophe of epic proportions. I am glad some of you came out ok, and I grieve for all who have perished or are missing.

Today is sorrowful and terrible, as the scope of this tragedy comes into focus. Tomorrow will be another day. There will be brighter days ahead, and you have to believe that. Time will heal the wounds, eventually.

Please understand that there are millions of decent people in this world who care very deeply about each and every one of you, and we will do the best we can as human beings to help. Just hang on a little bit longer.

Hang in there, FRiend.

I am a frequent traveler to Malaysia, Indonesia and the Maldives...I knew when I first heard of this it was going to be 100s of thousands...I know HOW those people live and I know about their infrastructure (or lack of)...I know about their meager medical options and I know about the lack of regular communications. Even on a good day these people don't have reliable electricity and water.

This natural disaster is the truest definition of a CASTROPHE in MY lifetime.

It is at times like this that the PEACE Corp is really needed.

It is so very very sad that these once happy but poor (in comparison to many people around the world) people are now going to be miserable and devastated for many months (if not years) to come.

I send my prayers to all who feel this pain.

Lord, bring these people comfort. What a tragic experience.

We have been praying non-stop since this happened. What worries me the most is the shocked look on the faces of those who have survived. They are going to live with that horrible memory for a long time.

I can't even imagine the horror they experienced.

Being sorry for everyone who endured and survived, and/or lost their lives or loved ones in this catastrophe sounds so puny.

But we're praying for the Lord to see to your needs, to keep you and yours safe from further tragedy.

But Here you said you "felt nothing"...??

Perhaps after shocks?

I am praying for all of you who are there....especially for those in Phuket. They need the love of Jesus Christ. Like Lot, they need to look forward, and not back. Could you tell us how you are suffering? You must have electricity, for you are on the computer. Did you have any high water there? Did you hear from your friends in Phuket? How can we help?

We are devasted in Singapore

"Emotionally" devastated, right? Having worked in Singapore for a couple of weeks, I was interested in hearing how that country fared; I read online that physically it wasn't affected beyond the tremors.

Just want to clarify, my friend. My condolences to you and your family and friends.
