Patients seem to be spilling out of the overcrowded public health system in Dallas County into private hospitals, where officials say they are treating more poor and uninsured people in emergency rooms.
A recent study financed by the Dallas County Commissioners Court estimated that 10 local hospitals, including Baylor University Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital and Methodist Medical Center, had to foot the bill for $285 million worth of uncompensated care for indigent and uninsured patients in 2003. Dallas County taxpayers spent an additional $311 million to care for nonpaying patients who were treated at Parkland Memorial Hospital.

You have expressed interest in this subject in the past, please let me know if you want on or off this illegal immigration ping list. Thanks!
sure, ping me!
You got it!
And when ya see the invoice, the $25.00 aspirin makes sense.
Egg-xactley. Add to this "cost" the un-insured motorist premium you're paying these days.
It's not like these folks don't have job skills. Here in N. Alabama they account for many of the meth "labs" the sheriff's offices keep busting.
Hablamo espanol, y'all!
Add that to gubmint schools and we have a winner!
Ahhh, wait... they'd throw us UNDER the jail.
Nahhh... bad idea.

You got that right. She is a total nut case.
Question. If Bush is letting all these people into America to do jobs Americans won't do then why are hundreds of them standing around on street corners daily looking for work, living in overcrowded conditions, and not paying their hospital bills?
I think somebody is trying to pull the wool over my eyes. [/sarcasm]
Than Texan's unite and let's all send a letter to Perry and make a kindly suggestion he follow suit and do what Arizona has done with this problem, at least it's a start.
Also, contact Hutchison........
In a previous life (when I was young and ignorant), I found jobs for low income kids and adults. It was amazing how quickly they'd learn to speak perfect English when their paychecks were late.
You can scratch Kay Bailey!! I have about 30 letters from her and she won't take a stand on anything. But it's comforting to know that she will keep my thoughts in mind.
I doubt if I would vote for her again for senator and I darn sure doubt if I would vote for her for govenor.
My Rep., Pete Sessions (R-TX32) would make a great govenor. Check out his voting record on illegal immigration, amnesty, etc. on Numbers USA.
Well, then I guess the hospitals need that sign too.
Another question is WHY do we have troops stationed all over Europe when they could be on our borders, protecting AMERICA? We're engaged in a war with virtually open borders and unlimited immigration. Insanity.
