I think Miss Cleo has a better shot at predicting than these guys.

I bet last year none of the '2004' predictions included big earthquakes nor tusnamis but for 2005 they'll be a slew of them.

Unfortunately the world did not take then seriously enough.

If the world wants us to be series about this, then use correct spelling.

"As always, thanks for coming by. When are you returning to the radio program Mr. Smith?"

"I don't know."

--actual conversation between a radio DJ and a supposed psychic after the psychic told fortunes for listeners on a morning show.

Article and theory is total self-serving BS. And I knew I'd write that.

Same old same old. These guys are pretty late to the table with this crap: The Jupiter Effect was debunked a long time ago.

Wasn't there a large planetary alignment back in May 2000 - something like the six innermost planets? (I think that's where I first heard the word syzygy.) If I recall correctly, nothing happened.

I predict that you will be incorrect on that point.

Or did I just make that prediction come true???

The Jupiter effect may have been. But isn't there quite a bit of correlation with new/full moons?

What I want to know is when is the next time 2 or more planets will line up. Where will the next big earthquake hit?

Why didn't they give some examples of past events that prove their theory?

If I recall correctly, nothing happened.

Except for all the hippies, old and new, holding "harmonic convergence" events. It was more bizarre than the average halloween.

It seems that some people want to believe the world was created about the turn of the last century. They are wrong. These types of things happen with some regularity, geologically speaking.

The reason they are more pronounced now is that more people happened to live near this one. And even more happened to vacation near here.

Remember, one of the largest earthquakes in the US happened around St Louis, MO. Of course is was in the early 1800's. I wonder if they would be surprised to have another big one there today? I wonder if the folks are "prepared for it?"

Wrong. There was significant activity, mainly movement of New Age Nutters to "holy" sites around the world like the Egyptian pyramids, Mayan temples, Starbucks (?), et.al., for the purpose of....watching nothing happen.
