Recipe for a Happy New Year
To leave the old with a burst of song To recall the right and forgive the wrong; To forget the thing that binds you fast To the vain regrets of the year that's past; To have the strength to let go your hold Of the not worthwhile of the days grown old, To dare to go forth with a purpose true, To the unknown task of the year that's new; To help your brother along the road To do his work and lift his load; To add your gift to the world's good cheer, Is to have and to give a Happy New Year.

Last I heard was approaching 80,000 but will probably be double. One good thing is there are about 9 billion people prarying for all those poor souls.
Entire tribes have been wiped out. Entire mini-civilizations have vanished.

Generally I'm not one brought to tears except by beauty.
This tragedy is overwhelming for humans with hearts. The pain is just beyond imagining.

Well, when I left the house this morning, there was NO phone service in the whole area. So! If there still isn't tonight and I then have no internet...I'll have to either go to bed (YES!) or clean my sewing room.
I'm leaning heavily towards the bed...
