I didn't assemble it, just found it with the help of Google.

Thanks for the link, confirms more of what I said. BTW I am a geologist and understand the discussion presented by the USGS based upon seismic data and common sense. I don't doubt 'a considerable amount' but read the article more carefully and look up the tectonic symbols present and you will see that the USGS looks to the northwest from the epicenter as the line of rupture. Go to southeast you encounter a spreading center plate boundary that the rupture would not have crossed but would at most have generated a strike-slip motion to the southwest-northeast. Pending re-surveying of the land, exact displacement cannot be determined by seismic data alone, so actual displacement at this time is speculation.
I've always had the impression the fire will be something on a large scale like a meteor or nuclear bombs.
I have not studied end times theology in any great detail so I can't say for certain.
I think we lost God's protection.
This completely boggles the mind. Such widespread devastation. It leaves me speechless. >>
Yea, me too. It reminds us how weak and frail we really are and that God can call us home at anytime, anywhere.
I think we lost God's protection.
LOL!
I think I have some from last Candlemas!
I know I have two from the girls Baptisms. We may be set.

I'm amazed that all of Sumatra is 100 feet over from where it was a couple of days ago.
I've seen other, more "scientific" reports say that somewhere between 10 meters and 40 feet of the Indian plate subducted below the Myanmar (Burma) plate.
I got it from Drudge. As far as I'm concerned, that's almost as good as Matthew, Mark, Luke or John.
Laughs at? The Almighty (surely not) or at my explanation?
Any feedback here?
Catholic Discussion Ping!
Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Catholic Discussion Ping List.
I would contact Father Emerito, pastor of a Catholic Church in Goa, India. Also gives fantastic missions.
And have them blessed by the priest so they will burn during the end times!
I printed that out! I think it's good information to keep on hand!
I am guilty of one major thing on that list...I tend to pray for the end to wait, because I want to see my kids grow up and have children...and be happy...and not have to experience any more hell than they already have!
Another one.

"It's Bush's fault!"
Come on now! How can it be his fault? He was in Washington, I think.
Why do you people always blame it on Bush?
Only because you asked:

Polar Motion is the Earths wobble as it spins. It's barely perceptable except when you care about high accuracy nav or geolocation. It has to be accounted for in GPS for example. It has some components that are predictable (orbit perturbations due to Sun, Moon, and planetary gravity fields) and some that are not so predictable, like "crustle movements" within the Earth's mantle and molten movements in the core. A major quake causes obvious changes to these (for those few who actually are observing them).
