Well, SSarge.....quite the adventure you've had. ((HUGS) I am SO glad you decided to wait it out. I was not liking the stranded cars I was seeing on your chosen path for returning home. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

It was as much for economics, than for safety, Ma.
It'd be cheaper to wait here until the car gets repaired, before leaving. At least the Army is okay so far, with that.
I just delivered a stocking to the front desk. They're holding it until the breakfast kicks off - I'm going to triumphantly present it to the family.

I'm doing OK, ready for bed.
We just got home and putting the kids to bed.
Then pack under the tree for the morning.
Can't wait to feel normal again, it's been 4 days.
Antibiotics should be kicking in about now but I've never had punemonia before....
Thanks for asking Meg.
Good Night and God Bless!

Good work, SSarge, about the stocking. Economics and safety go well together. I suspect the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard have people stranded all over our United States.
After this adventure is over, and the Home Detachment is at home, and some time has passed, family memories will have been made, to be talked about in years to come.
Are there other families stranded with you?

We've gotten in very tight with the staff - they've told me there are about 18 rooms rented out for this weekend. Most of them are passing thru, headed north, of all places. They can't get into the snowed areas, so they're stopping here.
They even loaned us a different TV, so that I could jerry-rig the Nintendo Gamecube for the Detachment to use. Awful nice of them!
