Silencing The Vote (A DU Dummy's Double Standard On Ohio but NOT WA State) Like DUH
Baltimore Sun ^ | 12/09/04 | David Lytel

Posted on 12/24/2004 1:22:38 AM PST by goldstategop

Finally, we deserve an investigation because there are so many of us. According to a post-election Harris Poll, 38 percent of Democrats and 37 percent of people who are not enrolled in either of the two major parties believe there were either "some" or "many" attempts at unlawful vote suppression.

The most conservative estimate would be 37 percent of the millions of Democrats who voted, or 18 million Americans. When the independents are added, the total is 30.3 million Americans who do not trust the legitimacy of our own presidential election.

We oppose faith-based voting and demand complete transparency in the vote casting and counting. Like Charlie Brown trusting Lucy to hold the football steady enough to kick, the leaders of our party seem determined to ignore both reason and experience.

Unless we act, the nation will get the same result as in 2000 -- no investigations, no indictments, no convictions and more fraud. We suspect that if the votes had been tallied honestly, we would be preparing for the inauguration of the candidate who authorities with a huge stake in the outcome tell us lost the election.

This is from the founder of the anti-Bush website Redefeat.com. While it was written two weeks ago, I am taking the liberty of posting it on FR if only to point out the contrast between the Left's vigilance in OH and their silence on vote fraud in WA State. When its a Republican candidate who is the victim of electoral machinations, you won't find the folks who demand all the votes be counted speaking out. Like DUH.

So I won't even try.

The left right now is in the (extreme) denial and anger phase (and how!). They're flailing about and making lots of angry, paranoid noises. I expect it to get worse as we reach Jan. 6th, and maybe even as far as Jan. 20th. After that I hope they deflate like the big windbags they are. I saw this clown on "Hannity and Colmes" last night and he almost put me to sleep--if I had a penny for every single time I've heard these silly charges from the left, I'd be a gazillionaire. In the beginning I found it comical; then it became perturbing; now I just find it tiresome and am bored by it all.

Mr. Bush's performance statewide dropped, too, but despite all the arrows in the other direction, Mr. Bush's vote totals mysteriously increased.

Maybe you should be demanding an investigation of pollster fraud.

Mr. Bush's total increased dramatically over four years ago in the 26 Florida counties using the optical scan equipment manufactured by Diebold Elections Systems, Inc. Democratic performance apparently plummeted everywhere Diebold equipment counted votes.

Perhaps Dems haven't figured out how to cheat in the arena of electronic vote counting.

Finally, we deserve an investigation because there are so many of us. According to a post-election Harris Poll, 38 percent of Democrats and 37 percent of people who are not enrolled in either of the two major parties believe there were either "some" or "many" attempts at unlawful vote suppression.

Conspiracy nuts should fund their own investigations. Don't use our tax money when you have no evidence. Zip, zero, nada, the null set. None. Only tinfoil hat speculations.

David Lytel, founder of ReDefeatBush.com, served in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy during the first Clinton administration.

This is what passed for SCIENCE in the Clinton administration? Pathetic.

And what percentage of the population believes in UFOs, Bigfoot and Elvis still being alive?

Also saw him on Hannity last night. He looked unhinged. It sure goes a long way to explain how some of what passes as science (global warming)has been thrust on the American public.

I shudder to think of the state of mind of future Democratic executive branch appointments. This is exactly why their party needs to be kept far removed from the levers of power.

That Lytel guy is nuttier than a fruitcake (thought a seasonal analogy would be nice on Christmas eve). He was on Hannity & Colmes last night and even Colmes was telling him he's giving libs a bad name.

When I heard he was a klinton-ite I just shook my head. How many complete whack-jobs did that moron put in power??? Its un-freaking believable! Jocelyn Elder was one of the best for sheer entertainment value, but he had so many utterly worthless people it was amazing.

klinton was the worst President we've ever had by far, and I think he and Hildebeast belong in a jail cell until they rot, but he was actually did a lot of good for Republicans. I think klintoon put dims and libs on what I hope will be a 50 year downward slide. He boxed the dims and libs like nobody else could.

We just have to make sure our conservative friends memories are not too short.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

He was on H&C last night. He said the exit polls are what matters, not the actual votes.

Yup. Of course if they were Muslim or Jesse Jackson Christians... that would be acceptable.

Christians should not be allowed to vote - they believe in God.

Talk about stupidity. And liberals wonder why people look on them as pathetic. David Lytel is living proof that liberals have moved out of the mainstream into the Twilight Zone.

I don't know, but if they are against it, I am for it.

Actually, I think that is a reference to what the author perceives as a lack of transparency to the system. How does one know his vote was cast? How does one know his vote was counted, and for whom? Instead, we are asked to have faith in the system. Liberals have wanted voting receipts in the past (the whole secret ballot thing really makes coercion more difficult), but that is only my guess at what he means.
