The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is quite a guy.

He's certainly got the right idea. He treats prisoners like prisoners should be treated. No frills, no day at the beach. When they leave, they don't want to go back. It would serve other sheriff's to take notes. My husband likes the "always open" sign on the jail. It's not a particularly welcome sign for the scumbags in Phoenix.

Being able to execute use of the equipment is another.

My husband and I participated in one of the local emergency smallpox tests which was held in a nearby city. All participants were asked to fill out a questionaire about how they felt the test was organized. It's anyone's guess how much tweaking individual cities need to do as a result since those tests were conducted.

If the executives were required to hold stock options for 5 years before they could exercise them, they would pay a lot more attention to the long term health of a corporation.

Your logic is outstanding, especially the above statement.

Yup. I'm not too worried about it. That thread required a huge grain of salt, IMO.

It's snowing like crazy here and 14 degrees outside. Consequently the internet has sucked me in. For your Saturday "entertainment":

Question:

I want to go to Jihaad and Join SOS, can you recruit or send me?

Answer:

My Dear Beloved Brother, asalaamu alaikum warahmatullaah wabarakaatu

I hope this letter reaches you in your best level of iman and health, and that Allah grants you and us, Jannah al-Firdaws amongst the prophets and the shuhadaa and truthful ones.

May allah rewrad you best for your love for the Mujahideen and may Allaah ease you a path to join them. My dear brother, as with regards to Supporters Of Shareeah on an organisational level, SOS does not have any contacts to our brothers in the frontline, meaning that we are not of help with regards to joining our brothers on the field physically.

However, we are very delighted to hear that you are eager to support your brothers, my dear brother, there are a number of ways in which you can help defending our brothers by means such as dawah (calling to allaah), via the web, in public, spreading books, pamphlets and documents.

Also as you know, we are facing a barrage of attacks from the enemy zionism, and we need to make Muslims aware of this, we are being attacked by them on many platforms, internet (organizations such as haganah.il ), and in real life and in virtually every aspect, so it would be great if you can also strive to make Muslims aware of the awareness of returning shareeah in order for the planets safety.

You can also obtain news from trustworthy sources (available on our links section), and spread the news which you regard and beneficial to the Muslim Ummah. Also my dear brother, Allaah will give you a way undoubtedly if you intensify your qiyaam alayl (night voluntary prayers) and ask him, and he will answer you if you are sincere inshalah.

Finally my dear brother, one of the most important ways for those who sit back unwillingly is duaa, for it is the weapon of the believer and your brothers who are on the field itself are always asking muslims allover the world to help with all the means they can especially duaa.

You can also read our section entitled 'How Can i Join Supporters Of Shareeah' on our mainpage on www.shareeah.org , and perhaps become part of us, and if you agree with our conditions, you can be appointed as Supporters Of Shareeah Representative in your area.

May Allah reward you best
Your Brother In Islaam

No new snow here (the old layer has NOT melted). Forecasters predicting 3-7" by morning beginning late tonight. We were 2 degrees at 7 AM and we live at a higher elevation, so we're stocked up and ready for whatever comes our way. The good news, we're warming up to the 20's tomorrow.

Your post about wanting to go to Jihaad and join SOS was interesting, particularly that they have no contact with their "brothers" on the front line. Would be nice if the front line was permanently silenced and had no contact with anyone again ever IMHO (verbally or physically).

We still have the first snowflake that fell here a couple of months ago. Our high today was -5, which felt (believe it or not) warm. Our high yesterday was -12......no windchill adjustment there. Mr. RR is in Florida for a meeting. 70 degrees there...........I think I hate him right now.(LOL) Oh, well...........it is winter..........and it is the Dakotas. To be expected.

Speaking of weather, has anyone read "State of Fear"? Michael Crichton's latest. Whatever lingering doubts about the theory of "global warning" I had have been totally erased. Good story, well documented and foot-noted. I hightly recommend it.

We dropped to -2 F last night. All the snow from the last storms is still on the ground. More due tonight. I have to get up a 4 AM to make a 6:20 AM flight. It will probably be necessary to brush the snow off the car before heading out in the morning. The airport is showing +7 F right now.

It isn't a novel idea to me. It was my first thought when the new crop of pin-stripe cowboys invaded the executive positions at Pacific Bell in the 1984 time frame. The company had just transitioned from being an appendage of AT&T to a divested, public company. The new guys got stock options and knew just how to make them more "valuable". Simply eviscerate the company to cut expenses. It's a simple, short term strategy to make the bottom line look great. As soon as the bottom line looks great, the cowboys cash the options and run. The consequences of the evisceration took a couple years to become apparent. The cowboys were well aware of the negative impacts in the long term. They didn't care. The object was to line their pockets with cheap tricks and get out of dodge before the damage was obvious.

Your insight is valued. Capitalism made America great, but capitalism without ethics may weaken America's ability to produce goods and technology necessary to defend the homeland in the future. I fear for the day when basic manafacturing in metals, machine tools, and mining (thanks to the enviromental wackos) will no longer be found on the American landscape. And for some reason I cannot imagine China will be willing to supply the raw materials, the finished goods, or engineering expertise that the US might need to defend itself. Maybe Pat Buchannan is not all wrong.
