The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

I think it's going to be human error. The night crew didn't throw the switch is my guess. In fact, Peter Jennings reported last night that ABC had learned that was the cause.

I don't watch the MSM and don't know how ABC would know this when presumably the NTSB doesn't know, and of course, we're all used to the "mistakes" they make in the media.

I've been giving more complete updates on this thread:
http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1315324/posts

Sorry if I'm repeating myself on your thread but it's expected when those 5,400 people go back home they will find the chlorine gas corroded the a/c units, cars, house siding, fabrics in their homes, etc.

The first responders watched their hands blister and still they drove on. A man who was awakened in his house near the crash site watched his clothes turn white as he struggled to breath. His cell phone literally disintigrated in his hand, so you can imagine what it does to soft tissue.

As I hear pertinent updates that you may be interested in, I'll post it here.

What do you think about that WND article? bbl

"Toxic Crash Forces 5,400 to Evacuate"

AP

Saturday, January 08, 2005

GRANITEVILLE, S.C.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "At least eight people died and more than 250 were sickened after a freight train carrying the gas crashed early Thursday near a textile mill. The accident unleashed a greenish-yellow fog that seared people's eyes and lungs.

About 5,400 residents within a one-mile radius of the crash were forced to evacuate, with authorities telling people Friday they would not be allowed to return until Tuesday at earliest. A dusk-to-dawn curfew was imposed within two miles of the wreck for fear that cool night air would cause the chlorine to settle close to the ground."

The west is often criticised by Muslims for many reasons, such as allowing women go to work.

But shouldnt the west also recieve praise because its always them who intervenve when muslims r being tortured, they stopped Milosovic kiling muslims and sent their own troops to the country, they r usually the first to send aid when theres a flood, they r also intervening in Isreal and condeming them killing Muslims ,so should we appreciate their efforts or not?

In simple the Kuffaar can never be trusted for any possible good they do.
They have their own interest at heart.

From one of your listed Google links...l

...dismissed the criticism with a haughty announcement that al-Manar had agreed not to "incite hatred or violence."

So then he'll get a fair trial and be released back to kill Americans and coalition forces once again? These people should be summarily executed publicly and promptly to get a certain message out to those who do the same (or even think of it) IMHO.

A 9th person has died. He was discovered outside near the crash area and died of chlorine inhalation.

The evacuation and curfews will remain in effect until at least Wednesday. Some schools in the surrounding Graniteville area are going to remain closed until at least Tuesday but others within the county will open on Monday.

Law enforcement will begin animal retrieval this evening. They will begin at the outer rim of the evacuation area and will only attend to outdoor animals at this time. Some are surely dead but those that are alive will be taken to various vet clinics for evaluation.

The crash site remains a hot zone but work on sealing the leak has begun. EPA warns there could be a secondary release of chlorine gas.
