Lesbian rate may be higher due to a tendency for women to report such violence.
We had a gay male couple as next door neighbors once. They had hugh fights! Mostly over jealosy about other gay friends of theirs.....

Reality: Rates of violence against homosexuals are the highest within the homosexual community (gay-on-gay violence). Why is there so much emphasis on the few homosexual hate crimes? What about the15,715 non-homosexual victims who were murdered in the year 2000? The rationale behind the great publicity and focus on hate crimes against homosexuals is to elevate sexual orientation to a special and protected class, to silence anyone who would speak out against homosexual behavior, and to advance a pro-homosexual agenda. so if a homo beats on a homo & calls him/her/it names in the process, is that NOT a "hate crime" motivated by the other's gender CHOICE? Funny how that is being carefully ignored, huh?

I remember a medical doctor who was on a talk radio show several years ago. She said that the immunity system of men breaks down because of homosexual activity even without AIDS. The death rate for homosexuals (even in the ancient world) was extremely high and they died young.
The same thing that explains their sexual behavior also explains said violence. Are they then also 'born' violent?
