WASHINGTON The U.S. Air Force's former chief military lawyer has been formally reprimanded for conduct unbecoming an officer because of improper relationships with more than a dozen women, the Air Force said yesterday.Maj. Gen. Thomas Fiscus was given a formal reprimand and ordered to forfeit pay for conduct unbecoming an officer, fraternization, obstruction of justice and violating a lawful general regulation, the Air Force said.
In violation of military rules, Fiscus had sexual affairs over the last decade with more than a dozen female officers, enlisted women and civilians, an investigation found.
These affairs generally were consensual, and any other incidents were minor cases of inappropriate touching, investigators found.
Gen. Donald Cook, commander of the Air Education and Training Command, decided the punishment in the case and also recommended that Fiscus be compelled to retire from the military at a lower rank, officials said.
Fiscus, who oversaw 1,300 military lawyers and 300 civilian lawyers, as well as 1,000 military paralegals and 600 other civilian workers, could face additional action, including being disbarred, officials said.

Fiscus was among the senior military lawyers who raised questions about U.S. policy toward military detainees, which has been under scrutiny since a series of prisoner-abuse scandals erupted earlier this year.
He opposed a series of harsh interrogation techniques approved and later rescinded by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for use on prisoners at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Wish Clinton would have done that when caught...
Throw the book at him.
If someone like Fiscus was critical of our Guantanamo policies, we must have been doing the right thing.
Somehow, I suspect if I were found guilty of the exact same thing, I'd get a lot more punishment than this. But Generals always get off easier...so to speak.
OK, I'll bite -- how does one conduct a 'non-consensual' affair?
People have a lot of reasons for having affairs - dumb ones, but plentiful.
If the reason is fear, it is non-consensual.
What's amazing is this guy is an Air Force officer and had over a dozen women who liked him ;-)
Go Navy!
lol!
I wondered the same thing myself.
"When will the courts martial commence of the consenting female officers who participated over the last decade?"
Good question.
Another Sauce for the goose situation, no?
I agree. He should have at least been forced to retire as a BG.
The problem is the UCMJ has been made obsolete by the leftist social experiments going on in the military.
Women should not be allowed in the military at all. We should go back to women's auxillary forces live the WAVES.
I read somewhere else that a decision re: his retirement rank is pending, and that he may well be retired as an 0-6.
Even better. Thanks.
MAJOR GENERAL THOMAS J. FISCUS's bio
Well ladies, he doesn't seem to be particuarly good looking.... perhaps it's his charm ... or.. power... or..
If he'd had proper relationships with the more than a dozen women, everything would have been ok?
Disbar the rest of the shyster lawyers in the U.S. There's plenty to pick from.

Sounds just like our previous president.
