Here is a quick blurb from the most recent CyberAlert from the Media Research Center:The truth trickles out.
"It now appears that the premise of the question that caused an uproar around Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was, so to speak, off base," FNC's Brit Hume noted Tuesday night in reminding viewers how two weeks ago National Guardsman "Thomas Wilson said to Rumsfeld, quote, 'our vehicles are not armored, we do not have proper armament vehicles to carry with us north,' into Iraq." But, Hume relayed, "according to senior Army officers, about 800 of the 830 vehicles in Wilson's Army regiment, the 278th Calvary, had already been up-armored" at the time of his widely publicized question. Some Hearst newspapers reported that fact last week and since then it has trickled up the media stream into NewsMax, the Washington Times and FNC, but not the other networks or major newspapers."
Err America has been clucking about this.
Expect them to just never bring it up again.
In either case, I am delighted that he is being made to look like a total fool.
And I've got some swampland in Arizona to sell you, too.
Well of course it won't be reported by CBS/ABC/NBC/NYT it doesn't go with their prime-time reality show program: "Running Rumsfeld Out on A Rail".
Or a plant by the reporter he escorted in, according to Drudge.
It all started off with the MSM not reporting everything Rumsfeld said on the subject.
Well imagine that!
You know... come to think of it... 0% of our hummers were armored when I was in Somalia. I think I will complain to Clinton.
He opened his big mouth, and stuck in both feet. Don't feel sorry for him one bit. I guess his 15 minutes of fame is over.
A little of both, I fear. He has since claimed that the questions were his idea and not the reporter - a fool trying to act wise.
That's when all the unarmored vehicles came-to-be in our military, under clinton.
the poor dupe can kiss any career he though he had bye-bye...
So Rumsfeld was set up. I would like to know who got to Specialist Wilson. I just don't believe that he came up with that crap on his own.
Specialist Wilson will forever remain Specialist Wilson.
Never Sargent Wilson.
If the Armor works the terrorists will just plant bigger bombs. Armor isnt the answer, The answer is for the citizens of these places to start tipping off our folks about where they are planted, Until then they are just as guilty as those planting them.
In other news; sun may rise in the east tomorrow.
As he's not a regular but a National Guard or Reservist, I doubt he'll care very much about any promotion.
Not only that, according to Brit, 20 of those remaining 30 were in the shops being up-armored.
