I like his description of Free Republic. Coast watchers!! It's a good fit. Maybe we're not hiding in a cave on New Georgia or Bouginville with Jap patrols on our heels, but we are the early warning system. Dedicated, passionate, and unlike most of our DUmmie rivals, intelligent and experienced. Think I'll get my ANZAC hat and khaki shorts and practice my Morse.

Well, just a few weeks ago I was like the other poster and had no idea what a blog was either. I've never been accused of being real savvy.

One of the old Toffler books put forth the notion of truly regional representative government based on citizens communicating through local portals to voice their opinions.
The combination of boards and blogs is accomplishing this for the ideological community of Americans who have previously not had representative voice through traditional media or the press.
It is refreshing and delightful. It is probably confounding and concerning to the Politicians.

"log" stands for log and I don't know what the "b" stands for but a blog is usually a daily journal but there are various formats. Someone has probably already filled you in by now but that's what I think a blog is.
