This was one of the best things that ever happened to President Clinton and I thank God that it will forever be on his record. He deserved it.
As we contemplate and observe the 6th anniversary of this momentous event, I would like to remind everybody that impeaching a US President is no laughing matter or just a quickie little vote. It's not easy to do, even with a Congress controlled by the opposite party. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not nearly as partisan or as glib as some make it sound!
It's something to think that every student of history will have to read about this on President Clinton's record. I mean, what else do we remember Andrew Johnson for? It shows where adultery and lies will take you - DOWN, DOWN ADN DOWN further . . .

LOL, not really. He seemed to have forgotten the wise advice of his youth: Cheeseballs do not a man make.
My anger and disappointment have subsided over the years, given his power has been severely diminished. I'll forgive, but...

I always tell my liberal friends that I agree with them that Gore should have been president, but unfortunately Clinton wouldn't resign.I hope you don't mind, but I just GOTTA borrow that!

The House managers were heroes; the senators were cowards.Yes the HM's were great. Even the House in general, was great.
Yes, the senate was bad and Lott was the biggest weenie of the lot of them. Yet the guy is still around and there are people even here at FR, in other threads, who still take him seriously.

FIRST ELECTED PRESIDENT TO BE IMPEACHED!It was a cardinal success. FR had a lot to do with it. This day should always be remembered -- especially here.

He should have been removed from the WH.I think it worked out for the best. We only had 2 more years to put up with him, he carries the "impeached" label for the rest of history.
And we didn't get stuck with Algore for what probably would have turned out to be 10 years!

For me ,the coverup of Bubba's impeachment was my first real introduction to just how really despicable the MSM in your country was and is and,for me,that sycophant, Geraldo and his gumsuckers spewing for the perp day after day will live forever in my "infamy notebook"...I was to inexperienced and trusting to believe that Cronkite and Rather and the boys would lie about Vietnam and thereby destroy the moral of a generation of the military...age and experience are clearly good for something besides gravity taking over and lowering all the body parts and forcing us to buy clothing from the supersize rack
