Inaugural Countdown: Only five weeks to the Inaugural Ball! Get your tickets now!!

Only five more weeks to Inauguration Day. You won't want to miss the excitement and pageantry. The dinners, the Inauguration itself, the parades, the balls, great fun, great fellowship and great memories to last a lifetime!

Gov Huckabee and "Dubya" wow the FReepers!

Requiem for Truth and the Mr!

Basil and Mr Basil!

Just be there, baby!

And less than two weeks left to get your early bird reduced price tickets to the Free Republic W2 Inaugural Ball featuring Gov. Huckabee and Capitol Offense.

About half of those who signed up to get their tickets at the $175 price have submitted their orders. Order your tickets now before the price goes up to $200 after December 26. We want to make sure that everyone who requested tickets has a chance to attend the ball at the initial reduced price.

We're posting this message as a reminder before folks start their Christmas travels next week. BTW, W2 Inaugural Ball tickets make great stocking stuffers for the conservatives in your family!

Hope to see you at the Ball!!

Thank you very much,

Jim Robinson, Kristinn and the W2 Inaugural Ball Committee

P.S. This event is not a fundraiser for FR. It's priced to (hopefully) at least break even.

P.P.S. If you can't go to the ball, but would like to help someone else get there, please donate to our ticket discount fund and or to our general ball fund. Donations are being accepted to help cover the costs of inviting honored guests such as wounded members of our armed forces recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital. We've already received enough in donations to get at least four or five soldiers and guests to the ball and to offer discounts to several others. We'd like to invite as many as we possibly can.

Hi Rabid Dog. I am so looking forward to the DC Inaugural Ball. I have a special reason to celebrate. First and foremost my daughter has come over to the Republican camp, which is a pretty big deal turning Red in a Liberal Celebrity Sea of Blue.( Ojai ) We are very excited since we will be attending the Inauguration as well. My 4 year old granddaughter is tied to me by the hip, so she is coming as well.
Rabid Dog, I have to give you credit for giving us the opportunity of joining other Ventura County folk to support the President, to get up enough courage to write the "Red Star" with our opinions and avoid being lurkers when action was needed. Freeping for us meant taking the fight to the hate America sites on the internet and giving it back to them ten fold. Eventually we will have our own website to celebrate the sacrifice and bravery of our troops acknowledging their successes in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Hope you're gathering is a success and that we can do more to help the Ventura Chapter in the coming year.

You seem to have a wealth of knowledge about the ball :) Soooo, I am bringing my camera, and was wondering if I will have to carry it everywhere, or will it be safe to lay it down while dancing? :) :) :) :)

Wear it as an accessory. You may get some great photos on the dance floor.

I watched them implode the old convention center yesterday. The way the dust settled on G and F Streets near the White House reminded me of Sept. 11 in NYC.

The new convention center is a huge improvement on the old one. Six of the official inaugural balls will be held there. It's a short ride from there to our ball for those planning to ball hop.

Looking forward to seeing you at the ball. I'm told Capitol Offense is even better now than when they blew us away four years ago!

"Bought a dress today, so I am in the Inaugural Ball mood"

I wish I knew what I'm going to wear. I do a lot of looking and a little buying and then some returning. :)

I will try again after Christmas. I'm ready for the Ball but Christmas is keeping me busy this year.

I have something in black of course in the closet or am borrowing from my sister. Which women are being bold and wearing opened toe shoes?

Do we have a name for this Ball? I still liked the idea of The Spit Ball when names were being thrown around a few months back.

The DUmmies are advertising it, so it must be good

The threads's pretty long too. What maroons. Anyone post over there for a little fun, or do we get banned immediately?

Spit Ball would've been cool, but we've been calling it the W2 ball.
