Adolf Hitler, Time Magazines's 1938 Man of the Year

Yeah, but they HATE Bush more than they hated Hitler.

All I know is, whatever the Bush cover is, we won't like it. It'll be an unflattering pic, a dark concept-art thing, or even a flat-out insult.

There will certainly be some negative connotation to it. Guaranteed.

Battered and bloodied, the MSM tries desperately to salvage its relevance.

It feels "too little, too late", but MSM"s got to do something. Showing contempt for 50% of the population (conservatives) can't work forever. Let's see this as a start.

ANNOUNCEMENT SET FOR SUNDAY MORNING... BUSH [AND ROVE?] ARE ALL 'BUT A LOCK

I can't believe that the White House would allow Bush to share the honor with Rove. In 2002, Time Magazine wanted to split the award between Bush and Cheney, but the negotiations broke down when the White House insisted that it be only Bush (because including the VP would diminish the decision-making responsibilities of the President).

TIME wins the Yearly "Keen Grasp of the obvious" Award.

Bush is not just man of the year ... BUSH IS MAN OF THE ERA.

He is the most important world leader since Reagan, and this was his pivotal year.

I almost wish they'd pick someone else, like Michael Moore or Zarquawi .... just so we could call them the dunces they are. :-)

It's Bush's fault, Tom Daschle is deeply saddened, and I find the timing suspicious.

Let me guess: Bush will be Time's Man of the Year, but he'll appear on the cover with razor stubble, a Nazi blood banner, and an oppressed Arab terrorist in chains.

Bush should also win People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive".

We already know our beloved President George W. Bush is man of the year. We don't need Time Magazine to tel us that. Whom they put on their cover is important to them and to their sheeple I guess but not to us.

From NY Daily News:

"Psssst!: I hear that Time mag has narrowed down its Person of the Year choice - to be announced Sunday - to Mel Gibson, Nancy Reagan, President Bush, Karl Rove or the 9/11 Commission."

Who buys magazines anymore ????

The entire article, pictures, etc etc will be available free of charge on the internet faster than I can go buy that waste of paper.

If they do the "devil horns" thing again this year, it isn't an accident.

Well, and what is the significance and meaning of it?

SALES NUMBERS!

It's the same reason TIME & NEWSWEEK have picures of pictures of baby Jesus on the cover 2 weeks before Christmas. Sales boost. With Bush winning big, they figure to cash in all the dumb Bush voters.

I'm happy as long as GW does not make the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Must have been a grim boardroom at TIME.

Not necessarily. Look for them to use this as an opportunity to savage Bush and teh Republicans (WOT failing, Iraq quagmire, economic stagnation, the world hates us, he stole the election, etc.). They have to make preparations for 2006 and 2008.

Hmm, permit me to doubt: I am a Bush voter, and, as dumb as I already am and no matter how much dumber I might become in the future, it would take a serious brain trauma for me to spend any money on them. I have a hunch that in this regard I might be typical.

Gives the appearance of "fairness".

Maybe Zarqawi will also make it, just to make the libs happy.
