Exactly. Remember 2000 and a box of votes was found the night of the election in New Mexico. The republican worker who found it and it turned the election in Gore's favor. The Republican party did not contest them because they were found the day of the election and not 7 weeks later. That's a big difference and leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Nice touch throwing a known politicians name in the mix. I'd be checking the records to make sure there isn't a second voting record with his name on it.
It sounds like they may have been legally-cast ballots from registered voters at a valid polling place. Their votes should not be discarded because COUNTY WORKERS made a stupid mistake.
Secondly, under Washington law, I believe that ballots of any kind postmarked before the voting deadline are valid, and that the date received is not an issue.
Considering the 'rat elector in MN who didn't know how to vote or spell.
It's not "a democrat counting [your] vote." Vote tallies are counted by county elections officials, watched by Democratic and Republican observers.
Hey, maybe the Seattle Times could distribute their Sunday papers by hand counting them? I mean, you know, since machines are so unreliable..
If it mattered, maybe they would.
Is this some kind of public school math? By my calculations, slightly less than 61% would do it.
I'm not so sure I trust the election officials. Things have gotten better, but we all know the stories. A friend of mine lives in a town in central MA that is rather famous for having cast more votes for John Kennedy than there were residents in the city. And the election officials in Chicago really helped him as well.
Is that legal?
<< BS. They were placed there and made to look as if they've been sitting unsecured at various polling places since the election.
Were they? Wow! Amazing!
I have a question, though. If you have evidence implicating election officials in this incredibly felonious act, why haven't you come forward with it? >>
What's this?
A half-smart [Came half-armed to a battle of wits] johnny-come-lately DNC troll?
Ever heard of Modus Operandi, Troll?
"You, "DemocRATS" have been stealing elections for a century -- and Chad and I've been watching.
How old are you pup? Have you ever worked an industry job?
Incorrect. Nothing is discarded in the absentee process in California. Theouter envelopes are sorted and saved for three years.
Which industry? Currently, I write for a software company.
However it "sounds", there is no legitimate chain of custody for those 22 ballots. Too bad.
Secondly, under Washington law, I believe that ballots of any kind postmarked before the voting deadline are valid, and that the date received is not an issue.
Yes, but the deadline is election day for postmarks. Many in our military didn't even get them until AFTER the deadline. Their votes should not be discarded because COUNTY WORKERS made a stupid mistake.
I understand that and agree with what you posted. What specifically did you disagree with? All I am saying is that if they are verified and have been secure since election day then they should count. If they have been unsecured for any amount of time like the 22 found absentee and non-absentee ballots, then they shouldn't be counted. Absentee ballots are not tamper proof or fraud proof.
I know nothing of Washington laws and procedures. I was arguing logic, and using the little I know about these ballots as an example. I understood Politicalities argument to be that ballots should be counted until proven invalid and my argument is that ballots should not be counted until proven valid or verified. This applies to any election.
Oh, and BTW.. Welcome.. (I think)
"ballots should not be counted until proven valid or verified."
They're canvassing them now.
