A Croatian thief got more than he bargained for when he ran into a pair of karate-trained monks as he tried to rob a monastery. The 35-year-old thief had posed as a beggar looking for a place to stay at a monastery in Zagreb but instead broke into an office there and stole almost £1,500 that had been donated by locals, Vecernji List reported. But he failed to make it out of the monastery after monks Pejo Orkic, 40, and Ivan Pajtak, 51, cornered him and used karate to first fend off his attacks and then force him to the ground where they held him until police arrived. The man has been charged with attempted theft and remanded in custody.

This reminds of one of those "Caught on Tape" shows. A hooker was being beat by her pimp in the middle of the street and some white guy came to defend her. The pimp took a swing at the white guy who easily slipped it and placed a quick picture perfect side kick to the pimp's face. Knocked him out cold. He folded up like an old lawn chair. About half a dozen other black guys came up, stood around menacingly and talking crap, but not a one of them made a move. It turned out that the white guy was a stunt double for Chuck Norris on "Walker: Texas Ranger." He would do all of the high and jumping kicks for Chuck. In other words, the pimp took a swing at the guy who could do WHAT CHUCK NORRIS COULDN'T DO!

No, its what he COULDN'T DO anymore. He spoke about it in an interview about how more and more, stunt doubles were having to take over some of the more demanding stuff. Especially jumping spinning moves because his back really couldn't take it anymore.
