TESTING THE FAITH City will prosecute Christian protesters
A federal appeals court denied an emergency appeal to stop prosecution of 11 Philadelphia-area Christians who allege the District Attorney's office retaliated against them for exercising their constitutional rights at a homosexual event in which they were arrested and later charged with felonies...the group was "preaching God's Word" to a crowd of people attending the outdoor Philadelphia "OutFest" event and displaying banners with biblical messages....the eleven Christians were arrested and spent a night in jail.(they were charged with)3 felonies and 5 misdemeanors. The charges were criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime (NOTE:Bibles), reckless endangerment of another person, ethnic intimidation, riot, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct and obstructing highways. (...a video) show(ed) the Philadelphia 11 cooperated with police and were continually harassed by the Pink Angels.None of the Pink Angels was cited or arrested. The ethnic intimidation charge stems from Pennsylvania's "hate crimes" law to which the newest "victim" category of "sexual orientation" was recently added. (is there ANYBODY who didn't see this coming????) The protesters say a Philadelphia police officer told them that because they were on a public sidewalk they were permitted to move freely through the event. A few minutes later, however, they were arrested and removed. The Philadelphia 11 face a maximum penalty of 47 years each in jail.....(read more)

Isaiah 3:9 "The expression of their faces bears witness against them. And they display their sin like Sodom; they do not even conceal it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves."
I wonder if Rush will talk about this today. He's very afraid not to offend the homos.
Important news ping. Pray everyday. God forbid a time comes when our preachers can't preach any more. Is it already here?

The traditions of individual freedoms and personal liberty have really been primarily a tradition of English speaking countries. But we seem ready to abandon that tradition in our rush to embrace the French tradition of socialism and rationalism.
This is far from Christian behavior and ought to be punished. Christ himself taught that when the message is rejected we should dust off our sandals and move on. God knows there are plenty of people waiting to hear the gospel. We also have the teachings of St. Paul as to how to resolve conflicts, and it doesn't include shouting at others.
I don't think there is a whole lot the President can do about state laws.
"God forbid a time comes when our preachers can't preach any more. Is it already here?"
Well it is in your schools.
They are trying to get a law passed where churches preaching against homos and such would be considered committing hate speech and subject to lose their tax free status.
True enough, but not in my school. We homeschool so that we CAN preach to our kids. :)
For now. How long before the gov steps in and says its against the law?
I don't know.

Who had permits and who didn't? Alot of details are missing.
"THanks to the conservative Mennonites, Amish and other groups here in PA, we have a law which could have been prevented."
What happened? I didn't know the Mennonites and Amish were instrumental in passing this law.
I respectfully disagree! - he owns the bully pulpit and can make an issue of this and let the country know the injustice that Christians are currently facing. This is am important issue - Bush and all the other RINOs have learned from Clinton not to ruffle feathers - its more important to have power than to do whats right. When it comes to domestic social agenda Bush is a whimp.
Onward, then, ye people,join our happy throng;
Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud and honor unto Christ the King,
this thru countless ages men and angels sing.
Dad has already told us he belives he may see the day he's jailed for preaching the Truth. All the more reason to study and commit to memory as much scripture as possible in the event Bibles are confiscated. The Lord has always preserved a remnant of His people to carry on His work. "Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16: 32-33
AMEN.
