TESTING THE FAITH City will prosecute Christian protesters
A federal appeals court denied an emergency appeal to stop prosecution of 11 Philadelphia-area Christians who allege the District Attorney's office retaliated against them for exercising their constitutional rights at a homosexual event in which they were arrested and later charged with felonies...the group was "preaching God's Word" to a crowd of people attending the outdoor Philadelphia "OutFest" event and displaying banners with biblical messages....the eleven Christians were arrested and spent a night in jail.(they were charged with)3 felonies and 5 misdemeanors. The charges were criminal conspiracy, possession of instruments of crime (NOTE:Bibles), reckless endangerment of another person, ethnic intimidation, riot, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct and obstructing highways. (...a video) show(ed) the Philadelphia 11 cooperated with police and were continually harassed by the Pink Angels.None of the Pink Angels was cited or arrested. The ethnic intimidation charge stems from Pennsylvania's "hate crimes" law to which the newest "victim" category of "sexual orientation" was recently added. (is there ANYBODY who didn't see this coming????) The protesters say a Philadelphia police officer told them that because they were on a public sidewalk they were permitted to move freely through the event. A few minutes later, however, they were arrested and removed. The Philadelphia 11 face a maximum penalty of 47 years each in jail.....(read more)

Onward Christian soldiers, marching unto war. with the cross of Jesus going on before.
Like a mighty army going off to war. Forward into battle see the battle roar?
I think it's something like that. Long time since I sang that song but now it will be on my mind all day.

Yea, but we need some ideas on what to DO... are any state Christian groups planning counter-protests? We need ideas, not whining...

Very good information, Thanks!
We have continued to tuen our backs and neglect this festering problem. This "Nusance" that has been nipping away at our Society and Social Morals. Time we faced it straight up and LAID DOWN the LAW as we want the LAW LAID!! We don't ahve to accept these loopholes or this misinterpretation of our laws

You Americans should all run away to a free country like Merry England where religion really is free.
Except for the whole state religion thing.
BTW, what happens if the King or Queen decides to convert to Catholicism? Is he/she no longer head of the Church of England?

what a Shame in the City that displays the Liberty Bell
with its' Biblical quote -the City that saw Old Ben Franklin remind his peers of that biblical Truth :Except the
Lord build the house they labor in vain that build it." And how he believed "we shall suceed no better than the Builders of Babel.(without Gods' concurring aid.) What a Shame that city that knew Wm.Penn who declared "man must be
Governed by God -or he will be governed by tyrants."What a
shame that City where James wilson taught on the Divine
origins of American Law --Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. That City has become as Gibeah(Judges chapters 19-21) led by men who do not rule in fear of God.

Christians better wake up and smell the coffee. These are the first shots in the coming persecution of Christians in the USA. As for silently "turning the other cheek", that does not apply when we are confessing Christ and standing against evil. We used to call the Church in the present world, the "Church Militant" and the Church after Judgement as the "Church Triumphant". Funny...the modern clergy doesn't use those terms any more. Probably it's because they have surrendered and left the battlefield as the hirelings they are. Christians will be largely battling this alone, except for the help of God.
Don't worry, I'm sure George Bush will be coming to your rescue...
LOL!!

How glad I am that I live in the UK where we don't have to put up with this sort of thing.
I like all the UK folks and all, but it seems they're coming out of the woodworks on this thread. Isn't the UK the place where Irish and Northern Irish (i.e., UK) people used to routinely beat, terrorize, blow up, firebomb, and shoot each other? And has a state religion?
The only reason that religion is free in the UK is because I'm sorry to say, you guys capitulated years ago. To quote the brilliant comedian Eddie Izzard, "Anglicanism is much more of a hobby these days, really." Let's face it, you guys have gay priests and Druid bishops. There's only freedom of religion there because no one cares and none of the religions is worth fighting for anymore.
When UK folks start protesting and becoming activists like American Christians are, and start teaching a more orthodox faith, you'll see the hammer get dropped there too.

Laws can be repealed or turned back if we get enough people concerned about this.
I hope people realize that this incident is against those Christians 1 st amendment rights.

"This why thinking that only high level Dums are dangerous, is in itself dangerous. The fight for a city council of state Rep is even more important. this article should prove the point."
At the lower levels party makes much less difference. Here in Tulsa, the Republican party is much more corrupt than the Democratic party (not to say that there aren't corrupt democrats, though). However, statewide the Democrats seem to be more corrupt. In fact, high level members of our state legislature thinks that Christians are like the Taliban. It's scary that a representative can act like that when his constituents are likely the most God-fearing people in the world.

'I won't be too surprised if, somewhere in the very near future, we are told that there is now an all gay ghurch with oral sex being one of the"sacraments".'
I don't know if you remember but recently a major denomination had an alternative communion for women posted on the front page of their website that worshipped a female god and ate raisin cakes instead of regular communion elements (a throwback to Asherah worship).

That's why the Christians need to rise up and protest this thing is the whole country.
If the Christian church were to rise up against the Gay agenda like the Christians did the last election, the Gay agenda would be a thing of the passed.
I tried to get this news story to the attention to the assistant pastor of the church I go to, and there just seems to be APATHY in the church, and apathy in the Church in this country.
I see more people in the church more concerned about their " education , careers " than those issues we need to take on and protest against.

Until Christians organize the in same way that anti-Christians and gays have this type of thing will continue. Until there are mass demonstrations of a hundred thousand Christians marching down Pennsylvania Avenue nothing will change. So what about us Jews who happen to agree with y'all.
Can't we just say "people of faith" instead?

Since when is homosexuality an "ethnicity"
I heard this story yesterday afternoon on AFR news and couldn't believe my ears. Right after we were just kicking around a similar story in GB of a politician who spoke out against Islam - and the warnings that such was coming to America - and here is a story of that very type of case.
This is just more evidence that free speech only applies to minorities and moral deviants. Christians need not apply.

I agree with you.
I believe that anti Jewish forces want to get the Christians out of the way, then focus on the Jews next.
In this country and around the world, the Christians are the Jewish peoples best hope for protection, and survival.
Those anti Jewish forces know , that they can't get to the Jewish people until they get the Christians out of the way.
The Christians showed their numbers and strength this passed election, and if the christains were truly concerned about this issue, rise up and vote, make their voices heard, the Christians could defeat the gay agenda.
