One news source I read said they claimed they would release all the hostages in Russia.

Sure, just let them get on the plane with all the hostages and explosives. No problem.

True, we are a bit out of practice. But if any of em' are still alive at the end of this, getting back in groove for our peeps will be just like wearin' an old shoe. So they'd better pray for paradise.

There's a reason the Greeks didn't want us supporting the Albanians in Kosovo....

All those (Greeks et al) in favor of having an Islamic Republic in the Balkans and/or due north of the Greek border, say I. Ah....crickets.

Situation resolved now - was a bizarre kind of robbery. The robbers seem to have attacked an employee of a currency exchange center at his home at night, tied up his wife, strapped him with a bomb belt, and then forced him to help steal a large amount of cash.

Nope, still out there. "The situation" just referred to the bomb situation. (The street down below & the subway was shut down for traffic, etc.)

It's a good thing this whole Chechin thing is just a urban myth and a war of territory, wouldn't want to think that this chechin, the chechins in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, etc are all connected to Islam. After all, the Neocons tell us otherwise while they push through assylums for Chechins in America.

Just in case anyone is wondering the "TIM" you see on the bus is just an advertisment for a cell phone company.

The demands for money happed about six hours into the situation.

Only 12 hostages remain in the bus.

Greek TV reporting that regular passengers on the Bus are saying that the hijackers had done a reconassance the previous morning.

MOvement, a white police bus blocking the passenger bus moved back.

No food, it is chilly in Greece right now, no heat, no bathroom...

This is apparently just a robbery gone bad.

We could blame Albright et al for making the former yougoslavia such a mess that they cause a crime wave to spread throught the region.
