U.S. Sen. Zell Miller will be joining Fox News Channel as a contributor next month, Fox announced Tuesday.
Kevin Magee, vice president for programming at Fox, said in a news release that the Georgia Democrat will begin appearing on the network in January.
"I am excited to be joining FOX News Channel and am eager to contribute to the continuing success of the network," Miller said in the release.
Miller was governor of Georgia for two terms and was appointed to the Senate to fill the unexpired term of Republican Sen. Paul Coverdell in 2000. He has also taught both history and political science as a professor at University of Georgia, Young Harris College and Emory University.
Miller, a strong supporter of President Bush, was the keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention earlier this year. He has infuriated many Democrats with his independent stance.
Does this mean I can watch duels instead of debates.
Boy I got a list of folks I'd like to see Zell duel.....
Continuation of a disturbing trend. Zell isn't as bad as some, but in the media today...
The left is represented by the left, the right is represented by people that used to be on the left.
On CNBC, they have McEnroe, an absolute leftist. Then you have Dennis Miller, a former leftist that is conservative in national defense but socially liberal. CNBC thinks this is "fair and balanced".
Give'em Hell, Zell!!
Well, the country would gain more from having him at Homeland Security, IMHO.
Can you imagine? Zell Miller actually being beamed into the living room of the average Canadian?
There is a God! (I knew that) ;-)
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
"I have two words for the DNC:
Juan Williams opined on FOX News Channel that Zell Miller's speech was "full of brim and firestone"
Glad to see that Georgia boy continuing to educate: -)
LOLOLOL....oh the DUmmies must be having conniption fits.
Hurrah!
... and rename it Zanity and Hell
If they made it Hannity and Zell, I would go back to watching them. Hiring Zell is GREAT!
Why? That would mean that show would have an ACTUAL conservative on it!
I'm really looking forward to Zell's Zingers come Jan.Yeah! :^D
LOL
This unified attack on Rummy by the MSM will just drive away more viewers and subscribers. And that suits me just fine! :^D
Yep! The copperhead! Easy solution to that problem. :^D
That needs to get out there.
My state rep called me the other day and I was telling her about a meeting of the DSOC (Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee) meeting that I infiltrated for an investigative piece for a state wide paper. (No press was 'allowed" - so I went in undercover.)
Our State majority leader of the senate (dem) was the main speaker. He held up a card and opened with: "I am, as are you, a card carrying member of the socialist party. But we are not strong enough to operate openly as socialists. We must infiltrate and take over the democrat party..." And this was their strategy - and that meeting was over 20 years ago. And yet my state rep had no idea!
Been successful, haven't they.
If Zell can get the word out there, the 'old' dems will understand and either pull away or demand their party back and kick the socialists out.
Either way, their numbers will be neutralized.
Now there's the spot! I would NEVER miss that - if I could afford to get direct TV again :o) (During the Clinton years they quietly reconfigured how they figure ones Social Security - by going back and counting every year from age 15 instead of the last 10 years. That meant, for woman my age group - that normally were stay at home moms when the kids were little - got lots of zeroes added into the mix - along with the abysmal low wages for women back then when we did work outside. That took about $250. a month out of what I was going to get! So I had to let Direct TV go - and now I can only get ONE channel - CBS. Insult to injury!
Ah well, I just don't watch TV anymore.
But hot damn, I'd sure like to watch Zell give 'em hell...
Mathews was just on Laura's show a week or two ago.
