Wow. That's just pathetic.
If I were her editor, I wouldn't pay her for that column - (1) it's poorly written, (2) it's derivative, (3) it's not funny and (4) it makes leftists look as stupid and tone-deaf as they really are.

In the past she used to read other columnists, recycle it as her own (almost never giving credit), and then sprout off downright lame lefty humor.
At least though, she made an effort to try and have some kind of substance, even if it was plagiarism/paraphrasing.
She seems to have stopped even doing that now. Its just a few lame attempts at humor that I think even Al Franken or Paul Krugman could see have absolutely nothing but emotional venting behind them. At least Krugman has to manipulate numbers and work to create a lie, Dowd doesn't even do that.
Its clear she can not concentrate and has become unhinged and distracted. If the NY Times had any sense of respect for her, they would recommend therapy.

But that's the point: editors at the NY Slimes do pay for that garbage.

On what basis did this woman get her job? It can't be talent..... Is she a relative of some power broker?
Gods, even though I hate it, the NYT does have some intelligent people on staff......But how did this pathetic looney get there?

Yikes, was she a stripper in her younger years; because she obviously doesn't embarrass easily! A poem from the Trash Heap of Histoir.

I am sincerely surprised the Times hasn't canned Maureen Dowd by now. I know, I know, the Times agrees with her most of the time. But her columns are so juvenile that her editors should know that Down is doing no favors for the liberals' causes. (Actually, now that I think about it, I hope Maureen Dowd writes for the times forever.)
