Sometimes the absence of something needs to be reported.

And we need to show our appreciation for the effort put out our troops in Harm's Way. Even if the MSM loathes our troops, that means we must work all the harder to Support Our Troops! God bless them!

Remember, what is good news for our warriors and their families and friends is bad news for the MSM and the mentally ill lunatic lefties.

Going a step further, the good things happening in Iraq need to be covered. There is not an absence of incredible improvements going on in Iraq. How about the people registering to vote, the political parties putting candidates forward.

There is plenty to report; it just isn't "bad" enough for the media.

Well that explains some of the Media rush over the Armored Humvee's wouldn't you say....

Very interesting!

I must escape from my obsession from that topic and get some gifts for an early Christmas dinner, but I feel better now, thank you!

I hateee.... and loathe....the Main Stream media.....

Your observation is correct. The current fall off in enemy activity is because Fallujah was a defeat for the enemy, who suffered major losses in men and material and being depriving of a sanctuary and base of operations. Great credit goes to our troops and their commanders.

Unfortunately, as one must expect, the enemy is reported to be planning a major wave of bombings, assassinations, and other attacks for the holidays so as to undermine the January 30 elections. Islamists and hired killers continue to flood into the country, with Syria revealed as their base for transit, resupply, command, and financing. Contrary to the public impression in the US, Allawi is regarded by Iraqis as corrupt and self-serving, not at all a Karzai type genuinely dedicated to his country.

The pessimistic side of me thus warns that we do not have a reliable and effective local government, and that while the January 30 elections must proceed, they will take place in a compromised security environment. If one wants an ominous parallel, Syria can be seen as emerging as the equivalent of the Cambodian sanctuary for the Viet Cong.

Nevertheless, the optimistic side of me sees that the elections will go on, and on schedule. They may yet prove to be the turning point in our favor if they produce a legitimate Iraqi government that will muster the active support of the populace.

The bottom line is that we have to be prepared for another spike of bad news and casualties and the prospect that the country may slip into civil war within a few months. I surmise that we have a plan B that consists of letting the Shia and Kurds ally and stomp the Sunni with our tacit approval, with a de facto partition of the country. Since the oil is not found in the Sunni areas, that might work out despite the appearance of failure and chaos that it will present.h

Scott Peterson, Monica Lewinsky, Gary Condit, Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant.

Whenever you've heard the news turn to gossip, it means we're winning and they don't want to report success. So they will turn to some story of personal tragedy or destruction.

Just remember it when you see GOSSIPNEWS. It really means that the hard work is getting done and the positive things are quietly going on behind the scenes.

Sometimes the absence of something needs to be reported.

This is a good lesson in any situation. Read the news critically and look for what they are not saying. During the last campaign the media was not talking about the gender gap. That is because Kerry was the one with a gender gap, but it was with men.

If the MSM is not saying something bad about the Republicans it is because they can't

We should not just report the negative things, but we need to report the positive things done in Iraq.

Yes, it's disturbing how very little of the positive news makes it into the media. It's a source of frustration to those of us here who witness the progress being made. There is so much good here and it deserves to be reported.

The media and the liberals hate the U.S. They appear to be on the side of the terrorists.

This is part of an email I got from a friend in Iraq just this morning:

Attacks across the country have slowed way down since we took out Fallujah. The products we produced for the Iraqi Government about what we found in Fallujah have been getting a lot of attention. Had a Treasury agent contact me the other day asking for a copy and then some Navy Admiral's aide tracked me down and wanted a copy. Don't know what they want them for, but guess it is a good sign.
