~ Saturday Night Jukebox ~ |
Welcome to our Saturday Night Jukebox! We begin our Holiday Music Editions. If you see a red colored box, this is a warning box. The music may not be appropriate for children. If you see a green colored box, this is holiday music we've added for your enjoyment. A Navy blue box is a music request that we have received. We hope you enjoy it. If you would like to reach us via email, you can do so at canteenusa@canteenusa.com . Please put "Music Request" in the subject line. Thank you. (Music will be removed Monday morning!) Don't forget to request music on the thread! *** Thank you for all the requests we are receiving through email! Keep them coming! We are absolutely honored to provide music for our Troops and their families!! *** |
Music Dedication Holiday Editions Hanukkah begins at sundown on December 7th. Christmas is December 25th. Get your holiday music requests in via FReepmail, email, or on the thread! Thank you! Make sure to put "Holiday Music Request" in the subject line! The music selections are for a variety of musical fans out there. If there's a song or genre of music that we've missed, please make your requests known to the Canteen Deejays!

We will have to have a happy puppy thread that night.
I'm so glad things have been going well with your gal.
Quick dog story. I had a mega trip to the grocery last evening. I intended to make a couple of big pots of soup for my long week working both for my lunch and so my husband could fend for himself.
Both of my dogs have pica. Both are obsessed with paper and Solitare is ball crazy.
I was multitasking. Distributed the non food items to the proper rooms, stuck a pizza in the oven for immediate use and started the soup. I dropped an onion and Solitare scooped it up and ran through the house with it.
I caught her and pulled it out. The dry outside skin peeled off and then I only recovered part of it. The rest went down the hatch. She was devastated that I took her ball.
About the time I got back to my tasks in the kitchen, Jackie with her peculiar prance when she is getting away with something roared through the kitchen with a roll of toilet paper.
I had to track her down and recover it. It was a 3 ring circus for a few minutes.

So far they are having a blast!! We went to "The Bear Factory" today and they each got to make their own stuffed friend. Squeezit chose a fluffy white bear and dressed it in a fantastic green velvet dress and cape. Shorty picked a calico cat and put it in shorts and a t-shirt with a backpack. We got a dalmatian for Jake and put it in a baby boy outfit. But my favorite was Fluffys... he chose a beagle, and dressed it in Special Forces cammos, complete with "Hat" (I explained to him that it's called a "Cover"), backpack with parachute and brown suede boots. It is SO cool!!!

**ANNOUNCEMENT**
*She who thinks she must be obeyed* (That's Ma the senile one) would like for everyone in the Canteen to take 3 deep breaths before posting again. In other words, SLOWLY type out your message. Ma is concerned that she won't get caught up before Hanukkah is over. Which is pretty darn soon.
Thank you!
