Who’s Watching the Store in Ohio and Elsewhere?

Who’s Watching the Store in Ohio and Elsewhere?
And, do They Have Expertise in the Area of Detecting Computer Hacking Attempts – From the Left?

If we think it’s over we’re fooling ourselves.

It’s not likely that the John Goti, Michael Moore, George Soros, and “Science in the Public Interest,” wings of the Democratic Party have given up, and they very well may have some help from unexpected places.

There are all too many “Birkenstock Techies,” Cyber-Anarchists, etc, who know exactly how to do the very things they accuse our side of doing – hacking into the computerized records and changing them in their favour.

And there are more than enough of the old-school city machine/Made-Guy Dems around to care of simpler matters like mere punch cards.

They have managed to convince themselves – with the help of “Objective Studies,” from their operatives in the scientific, statistical, and engineering communities (e.g. at the Survey Research Centre of the University of California at Berkeley). that the election was stolen from them.
And so there’s little chance that they feel any compunctions about doing some vote stealing.

And they can count on plenty of financial aid from their pet financiers.
And so they can well afford any necessary instruments they may not have already.

They are likely aiming in on Ohio and possibly Florida.

And they very well may have help from unexpected sources -
both here and abroad.

That the European Left hates our President, wants nothing more than for him to be out of office, and will stoop to nothing to obtain that end short of anything that might bring them open embarrassment or hurt their investment portfolios – should come as no surprise.

They there is strong evidence that they already used what governmental resources that happen to be at their disposal – including intelligence and SOs., for this purpose.

There is strong evidence they did this in the matter of the African Yellow Cake uranium – were they seemed to have purposely set up the Administration for embarrassment (see: September 6, 2004, WT,”Italy eyes French ruse to dupe U.S. over Iraq, Bruce Johnston, London Telegraph).

So, it would be reasonable to suspect that they might try that type of thing again, by aiding their Comrades in the American left in the matter of the vote recount – if they think they can without being caught red handed.

In addition:

What of those of our own intelligence community who seemed to be disaffected from our President and his Administration?

It is a terrible thing to think of, but can we reasonably rule out the possibility that some of them may put their special skills at the disposal of an attempt to affect the outcome of a recount?

Particularly, if they truly believe that they are “restoring” the genuine outcome, and overthrowing what they wrongly think is an illegitimate regime?

Sadly, at least on the surface the GOP organization seems oblivious to these possibilities. Claiming when asked to the effect that “everything is under control.”

Well, I hope to G-d there are right about that, but I’d feel negligent if I didn’t take the time to voice my concerns.

To All,

The biggest mistake we - or anyone in a serious conflict - can make is to underestimate ones' opponents . Plenty of very smart people have put their minds in the service of crazy ends (Stalin, Hitler, Marx, etc). It's only safe to laugh about your enemy if you have enough sense to also fully appreciate their strengths. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for disaster - if not this time - the next.

The best to you!

Thanks for the kind words DIM.

I have a question for you or anyone else viewing this thread who may be able to answer.

While you have put up a discussion of the security issues surrounding the machines, is there any additional information available surrounding the ballots, by which I mean do we know how they are stored, under what security conditions, etc.? It occurs to me that the ballots themselves are the primary source of information on who won the election and, if the machines were tinkered with after the election to boost Bush's vote totals, the results would be higher numbers for Bush than those recorded on election night and in the official tally, which would demonstrate post-election mischief on the part of someone messing with the machines immediately. If on the other hand, the machines were tinkered with to lower Bush's totals, the ballots could be handcounted to show the error and the machines themselves would then be examined and it would again show that there was mischief. For these reasons the security of the ballots themselves are a vital issue.

I would especially want to know whether the ballots are kept in individual counties in Ohio or whether they may be sent to a central storage facility, which I would assume would be the Secretary of State for Ohio. I would also like to know what is required to access those ballots. Does Ohio have anything like Florida's "Sunshine Law" that guarantees easy public access to the ballots? Is it possible that the ballots themselves can be messed with before qualified observers get a chance to see them? If they are kept in a central location, is there any way the ballots can be destroyed or otherwise compromised so as to make tinkering with the machines a potentially-successful scam?

I can only hope that both the machines and ballots are secure. I have little doubt that someone within the Democratic Party is considering a scenario under which they could mess with both and sow the seeds of discontent.

If anyone reading this knows any of the Ohio Freepers we can ping to bring into this discussion who could help, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I always keep an extra roll of tin foil on me just in case.

The EC has voted, for Kerry, the fat lady already left the building a month ago. Recounts at this point is a waste of money and there is absolutely no way Ohio EC votes can be thrown out.
