Well, I'm not the original poster, but...
Mineta is the one behind the insane political correctness that defines airline security procedures. Like punishing a security person should they dare to pull aside more than the allowed quota of MEM (Middle Eastern Males) for secondary inspection. Instead, they pull out elderly whites/blacks/etc., people on walkers, and pat them down, make them pull their shoes off, etc., while MEM walk through unfettered. There's more Mineta where that comes from, but that's enough for me. NOT a good cabinet retention.

Just another fact that Bush has never been nor ever will be a conservative. I expect lots more between now and the end of his term. We need to make sure that during the next two election cycles that RINOS get thrown out of the party.

...anyd why my mother, in her 70's, was taken to a private room and made to disrobe. I can't imagine why she was targeted for such special attention. She probably looked like someone who wouldn't complain about the treatment.

My 75 year old grandmother was given the wand. But then she has more metal in her body from replacement hips and knees than the average person.
What good is that kind of policy if terrorists decide to put 10 or 12 on one plane with the thinking that 1 or 2 may not be able to get on the flight?
My mother doesn't have any replacement parts. It's a mystery why she was strip-searched. She certainly didn't give the screener any lip, she's very cooperative and respectful of "authority" (unlike me).

Ok, Mineta is against arming pilots and for the stupid random checking of passengers instead of (gasp!) profiling passengers.
Uh Congress passed letting airline pilots carry.
They went over Minetas's head.
Mineta is a lapdog for the inefficient and outdated airline industry, whose taxpayer subsidy has almost doubled under his watch.
