Lethal injection is too humane for this scumbag.

Nice photo of Geragos. When the case is appealed, it's standard procedure by the state-appointed attorneys to trash the defendent's attorney in an attempt to overthrow the conviction.

Defense witnesses have already testified that Peterson sang to seniors on Sundays.

Nice alliteration, Scott!

and one count of second-degree murder for the killing of her fetus.

Nope, no AP agenda here.

As for his family, a death sentence for Scott will tear the family apart, but the murders of his wife and son haven't? This whole family is messed up. They act as if Scott is the second coming. Sang to seniors? Puh-lease...

If they give Peterson life, would that mean he would be in the general population in prison? I hope so. He'll be getting daily anal probes from his fellow cons :O

No timely trial this. No matter the fate or guilt of Peterson -- and it looks like he did the murder; having a trial in two phases is a miscarriage of due process. The jury deciding on the murder MUST have a dread understanding that if they judge wrong an innocent will die by the executioner's hand, or alternatively that a bloody murderer will be freed.

Without that dread weight -- that awesome sense of sober, full, accountable judgement -- no part of a California Murder Trial sees any genuine justice, no matter what the verdict.

It was the homeless satanists living under the bridge who killed Laci and Connor. They drove her to the bay in their tan van with the BBQ sauce stains.

Defense witnesses have already testified that Peterson sang to seniors on Sundays, distributed food and clothes in Tijuana and that he was a good friend and loving son.

Oh my, if this is true, we must all be wrong. He couldn't possibly be a killer. Have killers ever before been Mr. Nice-guys, doers of good and really nice deeds, good friends and loving sons?

I believe the answer is a resounding YES!

This article is a load of crap. It should have headlined " Peterson Family and friends Plead for Mercy for Felon Convicted of Multiple Murders". The existing headline leads one to think witnesses in the trial were pleading for him.

Poor decision on the part of the editor or more slanting the view?

I saw a special on San Quentin's death row. I'm not sure if that is where he is going but I am sure it's someplace equally ....unpleasant. That murdering S.O.B. will be begging for death in 5 minutes.

I don't think the jury is going to buy all this 'he's a saint' crap. They've seen the evidence and know he's guilty. He didn't show Laci and Connor any mercy; I don't think they're going to be willing to show him any. I don't think they're going to be swayed too much by Scott's mother's tearful testimony, either. She wouldn't be in the tough shape she's in if it hadn't been for her philandering, evil son.

Many killers give off the 'glow' of being terrific people. John Wayne Gacy was considered an upstanding citizen by plenty of folks. These 'glowing' testimonies of how great Scott Peterson is are pretty meaningless.

Don't worry, the judge will change jurors until he gets the sentence that he wants and believes is in the best interests of the pimps of the legal industry!

I don't think Scott did it either. No evidence whatsoever.

"I don't know how smart Scott is, but he is a college grad, and it would not take a lot of smarts to say that he had gone fishing somewhere else...like in the opposite direction from where the bodies were found."

Well, his mother must have had some doubts. Two key statements made by her to him:

"No one could have been that dumb--not even you, Scott."

and,

"Deny, deny, deny."

Has the defense introduced ANY ONE of his friends or family who say how he expressed how excited he was to be an expectant father?

I am always careful not to judge without proof.

The point I find most amazing in this case as in the OJ trial, is the lack of any evidence produced by the defense of any other facts, leading to another culprit.

If I were Peterson I would have had my own team investigating the crime, to prove his innocence,
but he blew his wad on Gerragos, and is left with a lot of circumstatial evidence poitning to his guilt.
