If every Freeper spent the time to study this map, I sure hope that this individual's web server would withstand the demand and not crash ...
Yeah, and Kerry lost and is still crying about it!

And what do these freakazoids think that slavery has to do with the 2004 election?
I imagine if you look at a 1960 or 1964 map you would find it very similar to 2004 except with the colors reversed
I wonder if the morons will ever get over P.E.S.T.
It's a full moon. There are candle vigils and all sorts of lefty activities going on.
Now we have a voter recount, a perfect oppertunity to arrest all those demorats nutters who broke the law and voted multiple times. It's also a good time to count the votes of our men and women who serve this country.
What the final result will be, is that America isn't as full of crazed lefty freaks as they think it is.
... Refresh ... Refresh ...
Umm . . .when those were slave states, they were all DEMOCRATS!!!
How many voters in those states do you think voted for Lincoln, the first Republican candidate, in 1860?
It looks like he really fudges the territories to make his point. They had few slaves and few inhabitants (other than Indians, of course), and in Kansas, whether the land was to be free or slave was a matter of great dispute. It's doubtful that any serious scholar would give his thesis any consideration.
You are absolutely correct. Democrats were the slave trade supporters.
It seems they are still the same. They support totalitarian Islam, which does what? Has slavery incorporated in it's fundamental rule of sharia law.
I can never understand why black Americans support democrats, or join the slavery cult of Islam. ven back in the days when the slave ships sailed to America, it was the Muslims who hunted and sold them to the merchants.
Slavery is alive and well in the Muslim world, and black muslims are looked down on by the Arabs. They are fooling themselves if they don't thing so. The Koran and traditions are full of examples.
It's been a long time since I ever thought about the issue, but I'm not so sure Nebraska Territory and Utah Territory were ever "slave areas," and those two alone are a large part of the map. This appears specious "scholarship."
Also, no mention is made that those who profited the most from the slave trade, clear up until the Civil War, were from the bluest of the blue states, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Well naturally I need to keep checking for content change.
You are right. But it's who carries the state which determines the color. Over all, Bush won by a landslide if you count popular vote. What the democrats are trying to do by forcing a recount, is win by electoral vote, which they claim to hate. Democrats have lost their minds, but for some reason they can't face the fact that the majority of Americans still have a sound one. In the long haul, the democrats are making sure they loose the next election as well.
I first heard of the reference to the red/blue slate slave dichotomy on the Laura Ingraham Show when Laura played a clip of the ABC talking head, Carole Simpson, who dumb as she is, made the reference in her anger over Dubya winning.
Simpson also said that she became a newscaster back in the 60s in order to "change the world" - this telling statement tells you something about the state of broadcast news. The means justify the ends.
I believe they have lost thier minds, I'm still waiting for my friend to " forgive" me for my having voted for Bush. Once she decides to speak to me , I may tell her to cram it.
I personally object to the Nebraska territory being labelled as slave territory when in fact we in the Nebraska territory were in Indian territory.
The territorial govt. sided with the Union & Pres.Lincoln not because they truly believed in President Lincoln's cause but because of the Sioux Indian nation if during the war they decided to go on the war path the Confederacy would not have been able to send help.
