In tonight's broadcast, Lisa Myers contributed a report about young Saudi terrorists fighting US forces in Iraq. The report included interviews of some of their families and commentary on the origins of these terrorists.
The most remarkable aspect of this report was Myers' use of the word "terrorist" instead of "militant" or "insurgent" to describe these terrorists. It has been some time since I've seen an Old Media report use the word "terrorist" other than when quoting a source.
Are you sure they were talking about Iraq, and not the recent attack in Saudi Arabia?
Wonders never cease or maybe they're trying to increase viewership, then slip back into their MSM ways.

I doubt anchors have that much say on how things are phrased. They are after all, just news readers.
I find this hard to believe. Terrorists being called terorists by "old media"? there has to be a twist somewhere.
I'm sure CAIR will be issuing a statement on this hate crime shortly.

NBC is the best of the antiquated Big 3.
If CBS or ABC uses the word "terrorist" to describe a terrorist (aka murdering thug) - hold the presses.
NBC is more tolerable than the other two but that's not saying much.
Saudi terrorists: - I do believe "Saudi" is the key word -
Don't forget - the Left is really down on that nation - trying to drive a wedge between that nation and the U.S. -So it makes sense to use "terrorists" when speaking of someone from the nation (they dislike) -
Be interesting to see if the word is given to others of the same nature -
Shocked the shi'ite out of me. We've been discussing their disgusting PC rhetoric for over a year. Maybe they're getting on board towards loyalty to their flag and country... if that's possible for the MSM. Perskonally, I never watch the alphabet networks. I get most of my news from FOX and watch CSPAN, addicted to Rush; and of course, spend many hours here at FR.
I try to work a reasonable balance.
At cocktail parties and soirees, I always get the libs in a verbal clinch. They never win. Series, that's my hugh strategery, and I am never misunderstood, nor misunderestimated. LOL!

IF Iraq or Afghanistan (or any other "Bush" war" be sure and use "insurgents"
ELSE IF use "terrorists" or "insurgents" or whatever makes you feel good.
She probably received a harsh reprimand.
