This is what you won't see in the paper. This is what you won't see on CNN or on MSNBC or CBS News or on any major media Web site anywhere and especially no goddamn way ever in hell will you see it within a thousand miles of Fox News.
You aren't supposed to see. You aren't supposed to know. You are to remain ignorant and shielded, and, if you're like most Americans, you have been very carefully conditioned to think Bush's nasty Iraq war is merely this ugly little firecracker-like thing happening way, way over there, carefully orchestrated and somewhat messy and maybe a little bloody but mostly still patriotic and good and necessary and sponsored by none other than God his own angry Republican self.
(snip)
Or maybe you think war is manly and heroic and cool, as exemplified by that now-famous shot of that macho "Dogface" Marlboro-smokin' Marine whose dirt-encrusted mug was eagerly picked up by newspapers and media Web sites across the nation (including this one), and he became an instant icon for the war and the military was positively giddy about using him an ideal recruitment tool, a model of how to make soldiers look all studly and rugged and badass as opposed to the often poorly educated, disposable hunks of politically abused postpubescent meat
So then. Here is your uncensored truth: fallujahinpictures.com. Real pictures from Fallujah. Real pictures of war. Brutal and explicit and shocking and just one site of many. Be warned: this is very graphic content. Horrific and deeply disturbing. No censorship. No suppression. No Photoshop. No bogus shots of happy Iraqi children running in the streets begging for candy from American soldiers. No night shots of Marines in bitchin' night-vision goggles bustin' down the door of some palace and then cheering.

Typical leftist self-agitation. They go telling leftists, "Oh, there's such horrors happening here," knowing that the other leftists will spread the word, without even looking for themselves. There was noting at that website that isn't typical of what they show on Fox News. In fact, a lot of people would find what's on that web site a justification for the war.
And by the way, I noticed that SFgate is now SPONSORING the sorry web site. A NEWSPAPER SPONSORING A POLITCIAL ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN?
Can you post the link?
Please don't. I think it's PERFECT.
Thanks.

It's on the page you linked to!
(And actually, I discovered it's not the sorryeverybody site directly... they're hosting a sample of it. They chose mostly young women for their sample, even though the actual site is mostly 30-something male burnouts.
I'm pretty sure the sample was designed to showcase all the hotties, but they didn't have much to work with.

I hate when my spell checker doesn't catch my bad.
Whoopdidoo. I looked at the pictures. Doesn't change my mind about anything.
I don't understand why this guy thinks these pics are any worse than seeing beheadings, etc. I think this has been done to death and he's one little queen who needs to move on to some other issues-like how gerbals are being used.
consider it done.
He's just upset that they can't show flag draped caskets and amputee veterans 24/7. He's upset that there aren't enough images on TV to discourage enough Americans about the war in Iraq. He's pissed because he hates America.
On the contrary, expatpat. Mark is one of the few people who's suffered brain damage from too many hits to the butt.
LOL. See my comment #94.
