[Mel Gilles, who has worked for many years as an advocate for victims of domestic abuse, draws some parallels between her work and the reaction of many Democrats to the election.-- Mathew Gross]
Watch Dan Rather apologize for not getting his facts straight, humiliated before the eyes of America, voluntarily undermining his credibility and career of over thirty years. Observe Donna Brazille squirm as she is ridiculed by Bay Buchanan, and pronounced irrelevant and nearly non-existent. Listen as Donna and Nancy Pelosi and Senator Charles Schumer take to the airwaves saying that they have to go back to the drawing board and learn from their mistakes and try to be better, more likable, more appealing, have a stronger message, speak to morality. Watch them awkwardly quote the bible, trying to speak the new language of America. Surf the blogs, and read the comments of dismayed, discombobulated, confused individuals trying to figure out what they did wrong. Hear the cacophony of voices, crying out, Why did they beat me?
And then ask anyone who has ever worked in a domestic violence shelter if they have heard this before.

They were asking for it....
How can you continue to support a social security system that keeps African-American men from passing along any accumulated wealth to their children, since the majority of same don't live long enough to draw any benefits?
I hear Canada is nice this time of year.
Look at the poor souls who voted for this nonsense. They are working for six dollars an hour if they are working at all, their children are dying overseas and suffering from lack of health care and a depleted environment and a shoddy education.
I thought Republicans were all rich.
So, the Dems are all "victims" now...
In two years they'll be demanding Reparations Now!
How pathetic.
we gotta start smacking these dems around.
As one who has worked in the clinical field, at best this so called "analysis" is psychobabble and is most ludicrous.
At its worst, it is just plain wrong.
a) The democrats have no basis in fact to call themselves "victims" nor does this article show any connection to their "victimization"
b) IF the Rats consider themselves "victims" the cure suggested is also counterproductive. Victims become healed by making themselves stronger and more competent and confident in their own right.
In short ...my response to the Rats is .."Grow Up."
From reading this article it appears that for one moment he realized that lefties are wacko. He almost woke up and then in the next breath he went into full-force denial and whipped himself into twice the blathering, paranoid, foaming frenzy he was in two seconds before.
The Very Silly Party
"There is nothing wrong with you. You are in good company. You are safe. You are not alone. You are strong."
Just for fun, as I read this silly screed I imagined the voice of Al Franken's Stuart Smalley narrating it. Hilarious! (I really crack me up sometimes.)
If anyone wants a good hoot, click on the 'comments' link at the bottom of the article. Evidently this loser's sob sheet made it big time--Taranto included it in the WSJ "Best of the Web".
There are some choice comments--this cry baby is getting hammered. Feel free to leave a klinker yourself!
Hahahahahaha! $6 an hour? I'll bet the average "Freeper" makes something more like $16-26/hr. I haven't made so little in many a moon! Also, my health care is practically free, thanks to the five years I gave Uncle Sam. Maybe the libs should enlist, if they are so worried about health care. I don't know what the Army and Navy would do with thousands of tie-dye screen printers, EST technicians, Feng-shui experts, nihlists, deadheads, Yoga instructors, bong mechanics and community activists; but I imagine they'll start with handing them either a rifle or a mop! LOL
I think this one deserves an award for it's utter, complete, whacky craziness. The best yet! LOL!
They're victims of their own stupidity.
ROFLMAO!!
Spot on! (As they said so many times there.)
I did find one post that I agreed with, however:
Hillary is part of the abuse syndrome. Or don't you get it yet?
She's part of the Democratci Leadership Council cabal that is currently running this country into the ground. She's part of the problem . . . . not part of the solution.
Her most glaring capitulation was her vote to give Bush the authority to go to war.
She's a self-serving, opportunistic politician.
F*** her.
Maybe they should put some ice on that...
Now you've gone and done it! I've got Stuart Al Franken Smiley voice in my head! HELP!
I would recommend handing them a mop. They would drop the gun and shoot themselves in the foot..then again...
