Just booked my tix. Can someone clarify for me if there is a meeting place at the parade and I thought I read last month that we needed to contact our state Repub HQ in advance for tickets to get into the parade for sercurity reasons?
I live in Alexandria and don't want to take a cab either, but will if I have to. I figure that the Metro ran late for the Redskins Sunday night ESPN game so it can run late for the Inauguration.

Tickets are required for bleacher seating on the parade route. Usually they are sold through the President's inaugural committee. Plans for that have not been announced yet. The general public has not needed tickets before to just stand along the parade. I doubt that will change. However, there will be security checkpoints to go through to get to the parade.
