Kind thanks for the info - I've been pulling my hair out (what little there is left of it) trying to find someplace after the dopes with whom I originally though I had a confirmed reservation just notified me (1 week after making the res.) that nothing was available.

If you need a room, just keep trying on the various hotel websites and travelocity, etc. Rooms become available whenever there is a cancellation, which happens regularly as people change their minds, etc.)
Also, get on wait lists!
