Like I said, I don't care if people donate to him.

Great, I got my thank you note from Steve for my paypal donation and it was almost identical to the one posted at the start of this thread, before it got hijacked into the BC not fully worthy of donating thread.

I also donate to another vet, he runs a great web site for conservative loving people. FR, ever heard of it? But I understand that not a worthy enough cause for some people...

As the father of a 12-month old daughter I admit to some genuine worry that, one day, the other shoe will drop. Indeed, I do hope I never take her health for granted. You are living what I fear, and I wish you and your family the best, and my prayers are with you.

Absolute BTTT - some of these posters don't have the clue that the SWIFT boat veterans are truly heros now.

They are probably the #1 reason why sKerry was sent packing back to one of his mansions.

And on the matter of charity, I send plenty and don't like the attitude of some of these vibrators.

Just playing devil's advocate here . . . isn't that a risk that anyone who gets involved with politics takes?

It certainly SHOULD NOT be! My goodness, to lose his job simply for refusing to go along with Kerrys deception is just reprehensible.

>> About like your banter is inspiring me to contribute to Mr. Gardner. Sleep well tonite, knowing that your charity could've gone to people who really need it!

You are a closet leftist who hates the fact that the Swiftboat Vets helped defeat Kerry, aren't you? Admit it.

>> I'm NOT, I repeat, NOT telling anyone how to spend their money.

You protest too much. I believe you and Blzbba are closet leftists who despise Steve Gardner and the Swiftboat vets. Otherwise you would have kept quiet and let the thread continue without all your whiny disruptions.

>> [Gardner] earn[ed] 6 figures annually

Wrong, he earned $65,000 per year.

I was going to contribute to Gardner before. After reading through this thread, my desire to contribute not only hardened but I am contributing tonight rather than awaiting my next paycheck.

This is not charity. It is a Gift, one I make with a grateful heart.

God Bless Steve and the other Veterans for their continued service to this nation.

Amen. We could never repay them for all they have done for this nation.

Money on the way.

To those on this thread who think that only certain charities should receive donations: my nephew has cerebral palsy, but I can find it in my heart to give to both.

Yep, I agree.

I was giving a big yell out to others.

I gave my donation. But, then - I wouldn't want to yell out what my left hand was doing. Ya know what I mean?

What have I actually said about Gardner that is offensive? If you read through my comments you will see that I have the greatest respect for what the man did in Vietnam and during this past presidential campaign. I know nothing else about the man, but if these two experiences are any indication, he has been nothing but an upstanding model citizen throughout his life.

I protested because I was getting sick and tired of people saying that I shouldn't tell them how to spend their money. I never did that.

By the way, this "closet leftist" is someone who is an officer in the Republican Party, has served on Kentucky's Republican Executive Committee and has been appointed by the Republican National Committee to represent the United States on an international committee. Just so you know.

The problem with your rants is that there is always someone that views you as a whiner... My oldest daughter is resting in a graveyard. Does that qualify me to make donations as I see fit??
