Last week Laura Ingraham stated on her show that the Republican elite are not worried about the best interests of the USA. Michael Reagan, Michelle Malkin and many others have written recently to warn of the problems of illegal immigration and another "amnesty"
Rep. J.D. Hayworth was on CNN this morning trying to convey why he and other republican congressmen are trying to get border/immigration provisions in the intelligence bill as recommended by the 911 commission and the 911 Families for a Safe America.
Interesting take from a loud mouth Bush Shill who hob nobbed the talk show circuit shamelessly promoting Bush as such a great president. Lots a luck trying to hold this One's feet to fire now that he no longer has to worry about an election...as if that stopped him from making his open borders agenda crystal clear in the first term.
I completely agree. Michelle's book, In Defense of Internment, details the WWII policy, and makes the case for tightening down on illegal immigration.
The open borders side isn't concerned about the best interests of the USA nor of Mexico. As long as the borders are open --- we're a safety valve so that corruption can continue on in Mexico --- life for the average guy over there will not improve. In fact Mexico is deteriorating quite fast because the reforms aren't being put into place --- not as long as massive migration of it's people is seen as the entire solution.
FReegards...MUD
Laura, DO NOT spend the night in the White House if invited! Rush did and he has never been the same since.
Bush has got to get his priorities straight on this.
NOBODY want illegals here, or rewarded by an "amnesty" program. Nobody except of course, Democrats who hope to register them invalidly as new voters and business interests who want cheap labor.
Its not an Hispanic American issue, as this caller points out. Hispanic American citizens and legal residents aliens are interested in the sanctity of the family, decent jobs and living conditions, and protection against Islamist lunatics.
If Bush continues to pander to that ungrateful wretch Vicente Fox on this subject, he will undermine the next Republican candidate for President.
Right now, I'd like to see Tancredo as much as Rice in that position.
