Do Ren Hoek and Stimpy Cat count?

Another one of my favorite characters, though he played kind of a bit part, was that perpetually pissed-off chef in Northern Exposure. He was too antisocial to make it in the city, so he lived in a cabin in the deep woods of Alaska where he prepared fine gourmet cuisine for himself.

The only other good role Asner ever had in my opinion was in Enemy at the Gate. That's about it though...

You mean "Enemy at the Gates", playing Khrushchev? That was Bob Hoskins.

My favorite Lou Grant:

"Ya got spunk."

<a beat>

"I HATE spunk!"

18. Roseanne
13. Buffy
Neither one even belongs on the list, let alone top 20.
What a farce.

This is a sham! They missed Captain Kangaroo....
Well, I think they're only ranking fictional characters. ;-)
...Sgt. Saunders...easily in the top ten if you know about him.

Hmmm, that was a haunting character. From a show that was way ahead of its time.

This list is clearly put together by a metro-sexual committee of gen Xers who believe that nothing existed prior to their being here to witness it. All the fifties and most of the sixties characters are Nick at Night re-runs, that's how these kids even knew about them in the first place.

LOL!

No Cpl. Agarn!

Ah yes, Agarn!

Goooooooolyyy, they left out Gomer Pyle!
