LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A California teacher has been barred by his school from giving students documents from American history that refer to God -- including the Declaration of Independence.
Steven Williams, a fifth-grade teacher at Stevens Creek School in the San Francisco Bay area suburb of Cupertino, sued for discrimination on Monday, claiming he had been singled out for censorship by principal Patricia Vidmar because he is a Christian.

The Socialist school systems are doing their damndest to destroy our kids!
Moral Absolutes Ping. Can't let this one slide. It's beyond belief.
He can't let the kids have the Declaration of Independence? Why are his superiors still keeping their seats warm?
Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
More evidence that atheists and their buddies are trying to kill God. They are like moths flying into a fire. But in the meantime, we have to fight the fight. It's the right thing to do.
Would the last real American in California please turn off the lights when you leave?
I just called 11:10 EST, but the voice mailbox is full. Let us keep this up!
So when will they ban the Constitution?
Effing Nuts!
Kids - disrespect wrongful authority!
Our currency will be next------Have they all gone mad?
This latest display of idiocy is going to open a few eyes. The fuss over the Pledge of Allegiance is one thing - banning the Declaration of Independence is just sick.
Oh, there are more true Americans and God-fearing Christians in California than you would think...of course, in the Bay Area, where this fiasco and the Pledge of Allegiance lawsuit originated, the numbers are quite a bit less, and even less where it counts...on the school boards and local councils.
It's pretty embarrassing for the state, believe me, but always remeber to look where the source originates and you'll find it's more often than not...in NoCAL!
Then whey don't you good American, God-fearing Christians take a day trip into that cesspool and throw all that crap in the Bay?
The rest of the Nation would be deeply in your debt.
This is SO SAD.
If these people build on their agenda for changing
our country one Judge, one principal, one news
anchor at a time ...
In 20 years I would hate to see what the country has
become ... if the trend continues.

It seems to me that the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War itself was as a result of this type of dictatorial attitude. King George told the colonists only what they could believe and that caused our forefathers to cause the rebellion for freedom. Why do we allow these ignorant PC artists today dictate how history is taught. As for me give me liberty....
This is a direct attack on the fundamental documents and principles of our country. Either she's mad or she's a traitor.
