ENGINEERS OPEN NEW WATER TREATMENT PLANT
LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq -- Marines from the 372nd Engineer Group joined local contractors, village leaders and the 13th Corps Support Command Civil Affairs staff in opening a new water treatment plant in Albu Bali today.
The Marines worked with local contractors to bring clean water to this small village to improve the quality of life for the residents. Clean drinking water is a priority request from most local sheiks to the civil affairs officers.
The project cost $36,000 and will provide clean water to more than 500 village residents.
I was wondering about this as I work in H2O Treatment.
Mostly curious about the design of the plants over there and what chemicals they use for coagulation, sedimentation, etc.
