Either PTSD or one really flipped out PETA/ELF/ALF/ASPCA/GREENIE nut!
My first impression was the latter - a whacko's delusional attempt to make hunters the hunted.

I'm so sorry that this man has died too. Prayers go out to his family and to the families of the other victims. May God comfort them and give them strength during this difficult time.

The left is trying so hard to get this to "stick" but I just don't think it's going to get any traction. It's an SKS for heaven's sakes!
No hi-cap magazine, no pistol grip! The thing is even arguably UGLY. :-)

I wonder if there's a federal charge he can be hit with that would warrant the death penalty.

Interesting. He did it on private land. Maybe he could be considered a terrorist, but I doubt it.
To: wi jd
He should be tried on federal terrorism charges and given the dp then.

Guy has a history of poaching and violent domestic abuse. He also may have been responding to perceived racial discrimination. (No excuses, just a thought on his mindset.)

Here's a thought. Let's make it a federal capital offense to use a gun in the commission of a murder. The gun control advocates ought to like that, huh?

Sat down tonight and, as I received my nightly dose of mayhem I was confronted with (In addition to this unbelievable, senseless outrage )1) The mutilation of a baby by her mother, 2) The insufferable continuation of the Laci Peterson tragedy/debacle/circus, 3)The complete inculcation of the Pistons/Pacers fiasco into my DNA, 4) The racial slurs against Dr. Rice and finally (I only watched 30 mins.) 5) The continuation of Kerry's non-contest of election but the altruistic quest to make certain every vote is counted - In Ohio if you please.
All in all a lousy day to see the news on TV but, then again, what day isn't?

No death penalty in Wisconsin, if memory serves me. Your memory is correct. But Jeff Dalhmer didn't last a year in "general population". He had an accident w/ a barbell bar. All the guards were on break while he cleaned up the gym.

More prayers for the families of the victims, and for the wounded.
Lord, please give them comfort beyond what can be humanly comprehended. Help them feel Your presence in this time of deep shock and grief.
May justice be swift and sure for their murderer.

I suspect a Minnesota resident taking a gun into Wisconsin and killing 6 residents would warrant federal attention.
What an absolute tragedy.
