Interesting. He did it on private land. Maybe he could be considered a terrorist, but I doubt it.
A horrible, warped, sick, senseless tragic crime is being politicized as a gun control issue. I wonder how those dead hunters would feel about being used by the anti-gun groups? On TMJ4 in Milwaukee, the reporter described the gun as an "automatic assault" weapon. In Madison, the gun was described as a "high powered assault weapon". And every hunter I know says that the SKS uses a weaker round than most deer rifles. High powered compared to what? Not compared to another deer rifle, apparently.
The Deputy Chief of Sawyer County first described the SKS as a "common deer rifle", quoted in the Appleton Post Crescent. In the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, he called it an "uncommon" gun. In the Kansas City Star, it was an "assault rifle". What the hell. Those hunters would be dead no matter what rifle that nut used.
And if all the victims were white, won't be a "hate crime" either. This guy is going to get some lawyer to plead him out, and he'll spend the next couple of years in a mental hospital and be out by 5.
